ok i dismounted the database and ran a isinteg /s -fix -test -folder and it came back with the following: Test folder Result: 57 error(s); 0 warning(s); 4677 fix(es); 7923 row(s) I then ran it again and got the following: Test folder Result: 57 error(s); 0 warning(s); 3 fix(es); 7923 row(s) So as you can see the fixes have gone down quite a lot (still not sure what it means by fixes, is it its fixed that amount or there is that many things that need fixing?? I mounted the database again and logged in as a problem user and i can now see his mailbox whereas before i couldn't. Any ideas on the 57 errors? shall i keep doing this is isinteg command until thet eventually start to reduce as articles i've read have suggested?

Any ideas on the command? I have seen a few but couldnt get them to work, says it couldnt find the database. My head is spinning, sorry if i sound a bit dim! edit: Nevermind i found the msexchange.org article and will give it a go later today. Just installing Service pack 2 for exchange.

I've tried connecting to the mailbox via outlook but it just shows as empty but the unread email count is still there. Problem is im having trouble with backups and have not had a decent backup of exchange for some time (stupid symantec!!!) Is there any hope of fixing this? Cheers

Hi all, My Exchange OWA is stuffed after installing some windows updates last night. The server is acting as a OWA server only with the mailbox role being on another server. Any one got any ideas? I have even removed the Client Access Role and re-installed it with no success. Cheers

ok i've setup another GFS policy but for the life of me cant see where to assign media to the jobs? i can assign media to the media sets for appending and overwrite periods but thats about it. someone point me in the right direction
-
Hello, Thanks for the reply. Although i cant find anything to do with assigning media to specific jobs. I have looked at the GFS (Grandfather, Father, Son) policy thinking this looked like what i needed but still nothing within that. Im using Backu Exec 12.5 rev: 2213 which im currently updating to the latest build. Whats the item called on the help menu? sorry to sound dumb but its been a long day and my brain is like treacle at the moment.

Hi all, I cant get my head around auto loaders. I understand the idea of them and that it changes the tape automatically but not the software side of it. I have Backup Exec with a HP StorageWorks 1/8 G2 autoloader attached. I want to create 3 jobs that do a daily backup (incremental), weekly and monthly. I would want to assign media to each job so when i label the tapes i know that mondays backup is on the monday tape. But i cant find anywhere in Backup exec that allows me to say "this media is to be used on this day for this job" or am i just thinking about the idea of autoloaders all wrong? Cheers

Hi all, Im just in the process of setting up parental access to eportal. I've generated a username and password for 1 child but when i login the information shown is very basic and doesnt look useful at all. are there any examples of how people have laid things out and what extra information they have included? Screenshots would be good, key information blurred out obviously Cheers

Is there a time scale on this? We have been without email since roughly boxing day now. this is obviously causing me some grief from staff and in particular the principal, we cannot function properly without emails. Is there a backup system we could use?
