If anyone is in need of dell wyse 5212 aio we have i think 20 brand new boxes. My predecessor over ordered!
-
I don't think you can, its either on or off. Do you have dells? We turn off onboard nic on the boot sequence but can still choose this as long as you know the Bios Password. Not sure if that will help as it is the same thing really

We had to move to online because of our Sixth Form setup, students roam between 4 schools with 4 separate networks.
-
+1 for this too. Trialled it with our Sixth Formers and only hitch we had was when our internet fibre was cut in the main road for 3 days.
-
No Worries Rich, they have caused me countless problems in the holidays.
-
How many of you have Wordpress hosted with LGfL? May want to check it, a couple of our schools have been reverted back to backups from last year! Weve had students in one school filling out the wrong information!
-
[emoji15]Martin sold up!

I am pretty sure one of our network engineers got the passwords cleared by holding down ONLY the clear button. This can be stopped in the configuration but never know. Try this at your own risk.

I am in no way a Utd supporter but i can see them winning the title this year as much as it hurts me to say it. Jose has kept De Gea, snatched lukaku from Chelsea and have a knack for grinding out wins as per the Fergie era

If your not too sure and as DalekSec said about dell, have a look into Dell Command configure for sccm which will do alot of the leg work in terms of drivers for you. There are also some great articles on Scconfgr which automate for other brands too.
-
+1 for gamma, although we are not directly with them, they offer help with whatever they can without having to talk to our reseller as they actually hold the answers.
-
@Arthur have you ever thought about doing Consultancy for people? You are a godsend on here when it comes to anything SCCM and applications amongst various other things!
-
May want to have a rant at them! I had notices last week. Maybe because someone cut the main fibre feeding our 4 schools and we were out for 2 days! Lucky it was holidays and the 10meg backup line for phones was sufficient for me.
-
Yes you do need both the 64bit and 32bit boot images deployed to make PXE work.
-
There was maintenance happening today, been happening since Monday.
-
Have u set the bootimage to be enabled for pxe in the bootimage settings? Is the osd collection only applied to unknown machines? If so, delete the computer from sccm. Does it get an IP? Sorry just throwing out random questions that i would check first

We go for refurbs everything except Projs + Servers (will be looking at refurbs next year tho) We have not had any issues whatsoever with any dell refurbs we have brought in the past 4 years! Only one issue was when a student decided to stick his pen into the CD slot, we now longer buy with CD Drives as noone uses them!

mukz replied to quiet_andy's topic in Scripts
Hey Andy, i made one to do exactly what you wanted at my last school. Didnt take the script with me but will ask the guys over there to send me it across. -
Yes i can believe this, always happens to me, even MS or Dell don't believe me when this happens.

Recommend me a large touch-screen device for the Head's Office.
mukz replied to kennysarmy's topic in Hardware
Are they touch? If so, do you have a model no? The normal tv price i got was 1500. Non commercial -
Check the smsts.log file in the logs file on the pc itself
-
Hi Protocol, which version of SCCM are you running?

Sophos Central and Intercept X now free for LGfL Schools
mukz replied to Zoom7000's topic in London Grid for Learning (LGfL)
Intercept X is only for Desktops. They have Central Server Advanced which includes cryptoguard for the intercept x features - have to pay for this tho -
I had to set the stale scavenging records. I actually deleted the lease, registered with dns and it worked.
-
Everytime we had this issue, it was because of DNS. No longer have it
