Query: If the USB cable has been snapped by a little rascal, how can it be replaced? The fact it's moulded into the side panel is leaving me confused as to how it's replaceable.. or am I just being dumb?

I love ebay! Last month, bought a Nintendo 64 in mint condition, original boxing and all the cables - £5. Sold as spares or repair as it "didn't show any picture" - bought an Expansion Pak module for £15 (N64s needed a module that went underneath the lid at the front to 'complete' the circuit, else nothing would happen after powering up.) and it now works like a dream. Considering a typical mint condition N64 with the same description goes for around £200 starting, I'd say a saving of £180 isn't too shabby! Always look at the spares/repair section if you're looking to buy TVs/PCs/Laptops/Consoles etc, 9/10 they'll be going for an absolute bargain for such an easy fix! The same applies to joblots, it's more than likely that only one of the batch has been tested and they've just assumed the rest are faulty. As always though with anything like this it's down to chance/luck

The thing is I eat like nobody's business, I went through a phase of eating a lot of junk food too and I hardly put anything on. I did mention it to a doctor during an appointment a few years back and she wasn't very informative, she just said it was "high metabolism levels" - still no idea what that means, even more annoying was she was a temp and when I brought it up again recently it "wasn't in my notes" and I "didn't know what I was talking about.".. needless to say I've not been back to a GP since.

I only ever had two BELKIN routers, and the only reason I got a second one was because the first was only 802.11b/g - both were very reliable and never caused me any problems, no drop-outs or restarts, but these were the previous gen. models (the ones that looked like a small lunchbox) so I'm not sure what their new gen vertical ones are like. Worth a look in any case I did have a cisco one for a few months before moving which did a good job, but I unfortunately lost it during the move -_- Now I'm stuck on this horrendous thing known in the dark lands as a BT Home Hub 3. Maybe I should see what suggestions get put in here and buy a new router too!

Indeed, the outfit! Some people over at DWT are saying they'll give him a costume similar to Colin Baker's... oh god, the horror. I reckon he'll either go for something smart/simple like what he was wearing for the announcement, or it'll be a real "Old wonderer's" type costume. So many possibilities! I think they did that TARDIS interior change at a good time, it'll definitely suit a dark doctor. Also, who else found the general show cringey? Peter Eccleston anyone?

Exciting times. I just hope we don't get the rinse & repeat reaction of all the fans of "Oh he'll be rubbish!" - people thought DT was going to be crap when he was announced - turned out to make a huge impact and everybody misses him, people thought MS was going to be SEVERELY crap when he was announced, turned out to make a huge impact yet again and everybody is sad that he's leaving. I can't process the logic of slating an actor doing a role before the first episode is even broadcasted, but maybe that's me. So as long as those whiners bugger off during the announcement then I'll be happy! Who do we reckon it'll be then?

Fair shout! That's why I stopped playing it after CoD 3, they got too focused on the Multiplayer and naturally all the console kiddies soon did gather. I still remember thinking the original CoD singleplayers were badass enough. They still are now, it all went bad after 3 *violin* call of doody call of doody call of doody tv tv etc.

I'm so confused. Is the Wii U a console or a portable device? The screen on the controller would do my head in, I only want to look at one - my TV! As long as fishing in this new Zelda isn't as completely *!$^$! up as it was in Twilight Princess on the Wii, then I'm happy. I'm still shell-shocked by the price of the Basic model though, blimey. Agreeing with the comments though, ever since they released the Wii it has been the "and" console approach, and I've always regarded it as more of a family console. Though it's fun to go online on your own on Mario Kart, beat all the other players and feel smug/victorious only to realise you've been racing against six year olds. Not really credible anymore.

Agreed. BHC 1 & 2 were great but 2 should've been it. I still have nightmares about 3 and to this day haven't worked out what the plot was about. It made no sense! 4 is just going to be a very tired, run down attempted sequel to make a few more $$$movie-monies$$$ just like Another Day to Die Hard (lolnecrophilicviagara) Mind you, all attempts of remaking/reviving films are terrible these days. I couldn't take the new Total Recall film seriously at all, it ruined the memories for me (no irony intended.)

Thinking about it, what's going to happen with the people who do choose to opt-out? Are we going to be kept on some sort of list? There isn't a chance in hell that the gov. will simply take "No, I don't want the filters" as a viable response and then walk away from that person. If anything they'll end up monitoring our internet activity, text messages and invade our privacy/personal life because we've said no we're immediately targeted/labelled as a potential risk, surely? ( Should all of that monitoring stuff actually be true. I'm not trying to start the debate again or whatever, just saying in context. Don't attack me please )

Let's not be hasty, fellow EduGeekers. Think about it, this will cure our frustrations of seeing people not being able to type in the Queen's English properly and scare all the chavs from typing out words incorrectly now, such as 'coming' - you get the idea. I'll be opting out, too bad I'm 99.9% likely to be labelled a pervert because of it but I don't pay for my internet access to have a Whiney Shiney-Forehead Pillock come along and say "Sorry young man, I must block you from seeing this photo gallery of the national art gallery museum because it displays a naked statue of a man with his winkle showing while holding his child in his arms. Good day to you." and, like the majority of the country, we're all mature and educated enough to deal with this problem ourselves and actually educate our children on how to use technology/the internet (luckily I have no children, that I know of, yet. Phew!) - so why not instead support the parents who are not all clued up on e-safety/the internet/technology and teach them simple methods of how to protect their kids, such as knowing their passwords or checking internet history, and deal with the parents who simply don't give a hoot. I don't condone child abuse or anything like that, that's not why I'm angry. I'm angry because they've automatically jumped on the "BLAME THE INTERNET/TECHNOLOGY!" bandwagon, like they do every single time, and are penalising the entire country for it.

Wonderful, I've had enough bloody problems with filtering systems at the workplace (SWGfL, Websense,) never mind at home! I can't imagine this will be using a decent filtering system either, can you? How long before I end up getting blocked out because it picked up the keyword "f**king" in a forum post and automatically assumes I'm looking at adult material, or I'm a member of a clan on a MMORPG game and it blocks me out of the clan's website for having "Roleplay" in it - "Bugger me skipper, he's been flagged for Roleplay. It must involve all sorts of illegal acts. BROADSWORD TO DANNY BOY, BLOCK HIM BLOCK HIM BLOCK HIM!" - Pfft, please.. Another dose of the government trying to tackle a problem they have zero knowledge of, it isn't just websites. People have access to all sorts of technology these days, I imagine all sorts gets sent over text messages or WhatsApp/Kik/BBM/Skype etc. - Absolutely clueless bunch. I will not be surprised if this is one of their 'cunning plans' to worm even more filtering into our internet access. How long before they suddenly try blocking out other types of content beyond adult material? "Sorry, you can't watch those Family Guy clips on youtube anymore!"

OT: Maybe I'm being a grumpy barsteward, but I just prefer to have the peace of mind that when I buy a physical copy of a game, I -own- that game. Surely if the digital system relies solely on the cloud/servers, once those servers go down (they did it with the Xbox On-- original, bloody crap naming M$!, they'll inevitably do the same with the 360 down the line.) - those games, and that console, will become nothing. It'll just be a black box that sits there and flashes some cool lights, you won't be able to play the games anymore. Oh, unless you perhaps get offered to locally store allllllll the games you've acquired during the time using it, which will no doubt take you until your death to download and require a WD warehouse to store them all. I dunno, to me it just seems more of a -rented- service. You're renting the games, being able to play them until that service you're renting from is no longer accessible. You're not buying them and calling them your own if you want the digital solution M$ were proposing. Whereas me, I can still get out my Sega Genesis collection and play all the games until my arse falls off and require more botox than Anne Robinson. Or the atari jagua-- scratch that, less said about that one the better
