I'm trying to create a bat script that will install an MSI file/package (TightVNC) but it seems to just completely skip the install and go right to the end of the code. Could anybody have a look at the script below and help me out? Thanks! @echo off echo. echo Install TightVNC echo. echo. echo INSTALLING AND CONFIGURING msiexec /i M:\Software\tightvnc-2.7.7-setup-32bit.msi /quiet /norestart ADDLOCAL="Server,Viewer" VIEWER_ASSOCIATE_VNC_EXTENSION=1 SERVER_REGISTER_AS_SERVICE=1 SERVER_ADD_FIREWALL_EXCEPTION=1 VIEWER_ADD_FIREWALL_EXCEPTION=1 SERVER_ALLOW_SAS=1 SET_USEVNCAUTHENTICATION=1 VALUE_OF_USEVNCAUTHENTICATION=1 SET_PASSWORD=1 VALUE_OF_PASSWORD=c0nn3cT. Hoping some folks out there have any of these DS tv's. We've only got the one and it's the standard TV with Windows XP Embedded on it. Our receptionist has been able to 'deploy' a powerpoint file to it but it turned out that the client does not have Powerpoint, or Powerpoint Viewer, installed. I've been trying all morning to install PowerPoint viewer but it just hangs at 'Extracting Files..' until I cancel it. It then gives me certain error messages about "File lost in MSECahce\PowerPointViewer" (not exact but along those lines) - has anybody managed to install PPT Viewer successfuly on these? If so, could you offer some advice? Ta!

There's a very tempting sale on Steam currently for WarZ, but I wanted to know if it's still as bad as when it first got released during the development stages? (The whole issue of it being incomplete/buggy/things claimed to be in it that weren't etc.) or if it has improved since those days.

Hi all, I've been asked to look into seeing if there is a way of having some sort of laptop dock/mount-thingy (their own words) which can be bolted/mounted to a desk surface. The idea is that they want to be able to put a laptop down, have it so it's secured onto the desk, and then be able to unplug it and take it away afterwards. We are a school for children with Autism/Aspergers and other mental health disabilites, they don't want a computer as they feel if there's something physical there all the time the students will not want to move away from it, hence why they want a laptop that can be secured to prevent them from causing damage and then be able to take it away when their session is over. Any ideas? I found THIS but I'm just wondering if there's anything better out there. The laptops in question are Dell Latitude E6430's, I have checked the docking station Dell make for them but it appears there is nothing underneath that can be mounted to a desk surface. Thanks.

R.A.T. 3, 7 or 9 (higher is newer) I've got the 3, never had any issues with it and it's a fantastic mouse I'm sure @Garacesh would agree on this!

^ That was their face when they made the Xbox One. They produced sh*t.
-
Yeah I chuckled when I read that and this one: DORITOS POPE!!!

Brilliant but they should have used Kevin Butler! He'd have annihilated Xbox to high heaven. So what is the actual outcome of the whole 'Used games' issue with Xbox? I can't keep up with all the critics lashing out about it. EDIT: Microsoft responds to PS4 'used games' bash:

It is an increasingly worrying factor that it'll all end up being dodgy DRM and various activation fees. I've always thought that it's a nice touch to keep old systems/games/whatever that were the bees knees in our day, that way you can still keep the kid in you and show it off to the generations below. I was playing Goldeneye 007 (N64.. yes emulated I'm waiting for the funds to collect my old consoles/games again) and my brother was amazed by it when he saw it. Just goes to show that old isn't necessarily dated/rubbish. Yeah, the whole digital manual thing is pants. They seem to forget CDs still exist, I liked having shelves filled with game boxes and posters on the wall that way you could impress all your friends with how many games you had. There's just not that much oomph to it when showing your steam library list on a computer screen.. A combination of RTW and Civ4 online battles was always the standard way of living back in the old days and then before that was the Age of Empires II and hoping your dial-up connection would allow for a 5 minute multiplayer session or having all your mates round for a LAN party. Ahh LAN Parties.. I miss those

Indeed, though I do see where @X-13 is coming from that it was always a nice feeing to have the box, cd & book (that folded out to be a map or poster that you'd blu-tac to the wall and ruin the paint!) as it did feel like 'YOURS.' 'Tis why I cry at night when I remember the moment all of my old consoles + original packaged games were all sold (not by my choice >.< EVIL PARENTS *calls childline*) Mind you I noticed this when I opened my copy of Forza Horizon, the first thing I said to myself was "Oh, there's no book.."

I'm terrible at TF2 but I'd still play it for a laugh, and if there was enough demand for a game I haven't got I'd happily buy it to join in I got Rome Total War last night for a quid, I used to love that game! (Unfortunately I'd lost the original CD I had through 3 different house moves, grr)

"Take that filth out of this thread!" I hear you say - I'll see how Google Music goes. I was using Spotify but when I was falsely told that buying Premium would let me play on other devices (my iPad) and turned out it had to be Spotify 'Pro' I was bitter at it. Will see if GM is any better In my defense, though, I have a BlackBerry Bold (I know, I want to shoot myself.) so you can see why I've not been keen to try music on a mobile

^ That's where I'm coming from. I've never used my phone for music, I like to keep that seperate and it's never done me harm (though I appreciate everybody's suggestions ) - I was also looking at moving away from phone contracts and back to PAYG so I don't think the data thing would work well with that Was looking at getting another iPod Classic @Rawns but not sure if buying a 'new' Classic is worth the money, and if I'm wanting to buy one second hand I might be better off trying to repair the current one I guess.. @3s-gtech Are these parts easy to get? I'll have to look into doing that. Thanks for all the suggestions

So after 8 long, happy years my 5th Gen iPod has finally decided to pass away it had a hard last few months with a fully cracked+bleeding screen but it still did its job, I guess I was the cause of death in the end! *guilt* Anyway, I'm looking for a replacement now, but not sure where to look/what's best to buy. Ideally I want something I can listen to when trying to nod off, through the car stereo and out and about on walks or cycling. Also importantly, something that's easy to use/store music on to. Any suggestions?

Sorry Also, my Steam ID: Steam Community :: ID :: TBlax

WoodsterT is the tag I haven't got either of those. Might get Halo 4 but FIFA isn't my taste at all especially when it has so many updates in each game I'm mainly playing Forza Horizon at the moment (love me cars I do) - I've got a few others, but I've only recently got back into XBox (had a hiatus hence the rubbish gamescore ) so I'm recollecting games
-
If anyone's on XBLive I'm always up for some multiplayer on that too.
-
I'd be up for some games haven't done proper multiplayer in years *Q_Q* Oh, and I have a mic too!
-
Those prices.. wow, I'll be sticking with the 360 until I grow to the XBOne - plus I 'hope' this will mean XB360 games will drop in price considerably Mind you, the PS4 is seemingly cheaper than the PS3 was on release. I remember that being something mad like £500+ "because it had BluRay"? - I may consider getting the PS4

TV, TV, TV, TV & MOVIES, TV, TV, TV, SPORTS, SPORTS, SPORTS, TV, TV, SPORTS, ANIMALLLLLLLLSSSSSSS!!!!! Forza looked alright, I did have to chuckle when they hyped up the Minecraft bit though. As much as I love Minecraft, it's hardly an 'all new' revolution of the game is it? "BLOCKS THAT ARE 1 LESS PIXELATED, ALL NEW MINECRAFT FOR THE X Bone!"
