So I currently have a NZXT Phantom Full Tower for my PC case, and - for those that own one/have seen one you will know - it's ridiculously huge and heavy. I've been wanting to find a smaller case (still ATX) but one that will still provide good airflow/cable management etc. - I have a GTX 680, so it will need to be roomy enough for that too. Any suggestions? (Yeah, it has to be a 'Gaming Case' because I'm so retro like that)

I'm still waiting for Red Dead Redemption to be PC'd think of the possibilities, @X-13 could mod all the Horses to become sparkling unicorns or something

Hahah, better call up my Blimp! I had a few issues with GTA Online for the first 10 minutes (not able to move, HUD and character going invisible, missions looping back to the start etc.) but it smoothed out after - I can't fault it really, it was bound to have a bit of delay in the connection (given I expect half the world was trying to get on it at once.) - Got my character all setup, bought the clothes, managed to steal a nice sports car from an NPC (which for some reason just dissapeared when I entered the car, maybe it was KITT?) but then I realised I didn't really pay attention to the face... his lips were all puckered, like a pouting chav. Ugh I blame John Marston

TBH @tmcd35 people have been crying anyway, expecting the whole thing to be bug-free and have zero connectivity issues on day one.. *sigh*

Excuse me while I raid your garage of custom motors mwuahahah

Any GTA Onliners on the 360? Would be cool if we could all setup a crew

Count me in! No doubt it'll be a fail attempt given my young age but I'd love to end up with a Poirot! Considering I have to shave daily, growing will be no issue!

My copy of the SE was there for me when I got home from work yesterday. All I can say is, WOWOWOWOWOOWOWOWOW. My social life has been utterly obliterated now, fantastic first few moments already. Curious, what method did you all pick for the first heist? I would explain how mine went down but I won't incase it's spoilers for people who haven't got the game yet. Oh and who else managed to smash the first car in the race with Lamar to beyond recognition due to being shocked by the new driving physics, or was that just me? IT DOESN'T HANDLE LIKE A BOAT FROM GTA 4! Also, did you hear about that guy in London who got mugged/stabbed for his copy? Sad story indeed, but how long until the idiots blame the game because of it I wonder..

Thanks for the advice @m25man - I'll gladly admit I've never done this before, so buying one unit to get to grips with seems a good idea I'll see if I can go down that route first off. What's involved with the 'Guest' network? I've never really understood the difference between the two.

Ruckus has always caught my eye, but unfortunately due to the hierachy of things I'm limited to what I can have. (We're one of many schools in an org. so there's a general IT 'board' - we were put on a wifi trial [the plan was to do a full wi-fi cloud managed network, meaning every single site in our org. would have the same setup,] they didn't go ahead with it so it's left us in a pickle) That's why I'm looking more at the cheap-o end, so if mangement suddenly turn around and say "We're putting wireless in!" it won't be a massive loss.. I know, it's all daft but I'm just following demands haha. UniFi seems reasonable cost, so I think that's what I'll be aiming for. Does anybody happen to know if the software for it runs fine on 2008R2? I can't see anywhere 'official' that says it does, only 2003.
-
The UniFi kit does look good, and seems pretty easy to install (and mounts to the ceiling, yay!) - Will put this to them and see what they say, the individual units seem a good price like you say so there's plenty of room to expand. Thanks for your help

Alrighty. Time to work the magic and give them the "If you want it done properly you need a proper budget" card.. not in those exact words of course Would entry-level Cisco APs be any good?
-
Cheers Dos_Box, sorry about that. -- So I've just seen this - would it be any good or am I being a bit too naiive? Haha
-
I got mine on the 360, but I'm one of those muppets that likes to have the same game on multiple platforms so no doubt I'll probably buy the bloody thing again for PS3 when GTA Online comes out haha.
-
Indeed 'tis a low budget, I've never looked into this stuff before so I never questioned it when they said. I'll see if it can be bumped up the UniFi equipment looks good, what's it like hardware wise? Any known issues/anyone used them before?
-
Hi all, I've got a budget of around £200 to get six access points - could anybody reccommend me some good ones? They need to be PoE, have as good speed as possible for the budget, ceiling-mountable (must) and not too hard to setup (newbie to setting up a wireless network that isn't at home, haha.) Cheers m'dears.

I pre-ordered the Special Edition. I was considering the CE but I couldn't justify the price because I know I wouldn't have any use for the extra bits that come with it. Besides, although CE has the cool "Play online as previous GTA protagonists" feature I'm sure it'll be DLC you can purchase later on - like the 'Couriers' Stash' DLC for New Vegas that was the original pre-order item packs. SE seemed worth it though. Additional weapons, bonus clothing, special abilities for each protagonist, and you still get the Blimp for pre-ordering. Happy days

I made the mistake of having a HP for 5 years (4 to go now, yay) on a 2009 Vauxhall Corsa. All I can is "Lesson Learnt." and never again! I'll be sticking to older cars next time, I wanted to do tinkering on cars to try and get into mechanics/learn a bit of DIY for it but when you need a degree in electronics to start anywhere with these new cars it's impossible. I'd bloody love a 1984-6 Pontiac Trans Am

This actually looks quite interesting. Is it fairly easy to get into? I usually find games like these are way too tedious/over-packed..
-
Not long to go now lads/lasses! time to prepare my social life's funeral.
-
Seriously, why on earth are people still going to buy it after all these changes and uncertainties? I wouldn't trust this console/M$ with a 50ft barge pole now, because what's to stop them U-Turning again during retail.

Thinking about it, it's a shame they've U-Turned the Kinect requirement. I would've gone out and bought the Xbox 180 just so everyone at Microsoft and GCHQ/NSA can watch me on the sofa playing the Playstation 4.

The whole price issue is still the same story with the 360 though isn't it? Last time I checked it was around £90 extra for the Kinect bundle console or just buying the sensor seperately..
