On my 2008 box the disks are all basic, and I can extend the C drive on Disk 0 using the 3GB which is unallocated on Disk 0. I can't, as I'd expect, extend the D drive on Disk 1 using the unallocated space on Drive 0. I'll try and dig out the info on how I set this server up. I think it's RAID 5

I've normally managed to get in using a screwdriver or similar key before now. I've usually managed to turn the whole lock rather than actually unlock it - Does that make sense!? unfortunately it doesn't work on our Video conference equipment which has a D-Lock, as instructed I left all keys behind when we left our our old building, not thinking about this equipment as we never use it, and now the keys have gone.........

Apologies to OP for hijacking this thread and going a bit off track. We have recently been copying old tapes and DVDs to the network for staff to use in lessons, particularly tapes that are getting a bit worn! I've taken the view that as long as they have the original safely stored it's okay. But as time has gone on, (and reading Grumbledooks post) I'm wondering if I'm wrong on this.... I'm trying to find a definitive answer, but have not found one yet!

I've managed to get Koha installed on Debian and login as the Koha admin user. I'm now trying to get it to lookup users in AD. I've followed all the instructions I can found on Google (editing the koha-conf.xml), at the moment when a user enters the AD username and password it just says you entered an incorrect username/password Has anyone got this working? Cheers!

I got offered my current job just before the summer holidays, to start in September. I to wasn't prepared to resign until I had a written offer, knowing how close it was to the hols and not wanting to wait for the LA's letter and all their forms I asked the school to send me a letter/written offer so at least I had something! Not sure if your letter is from the school or LA? If the latter maybe you could get the school to send you a letter?

As with others, I'm also wondering what happens with the ICT Mark. We have Twilights planned over the next few weeks (to replace an INSET day) which involves work towards this. Our management are saying we should go ahead as BECTA in Wales isn't affected by 'the cull'. AFAIK BECTA is one UK wide body, not with devolved parts to Wales, etc, unless anyone here knows different?

Most I've done is inputting results into a laptop for sports day when they went to a local athletics stadium. I've dropped very unsubtle hints that I'm more than happy to go to Iceland with the sixth form Geog trip, but it's so far fallen on deaf ears....

Just found CDs for NT4 server, Workstation, options pack and SP6a. Along with 95, 98, ME, 2000 Pro and server. I don't know why but I feel I just have to keep them all!

Must be about 9 1/2 or 10 years for me now as well. I miss NT4.0! What I miss the most is I didn't find it quite so stressful back then, people seemed to be able to work without PCs for a short while, now less than 5 minutes away from a PC and they can't teach/work.....

That's all sorted now then? I could do with getting our admin staff onto 2007. They're still on 2003 whilst the rest of the school is 2007, no major issue though as they have the compatibility pack installed

Are you referring to me Matt More than happy for a visit or chat. We use three different thin clients - Axels, Samsung SM711NTs now running thinstation and old PCs running thinstation, no prizes for guessing which I prefer! - all off a 2008R2 server farm

I shall remember that, very well put! I don't invigilate any exam, but do 'hang around' in the room for online exams. Last year we had one PC crash, and one or two other minor issues. Exams are stressful enough without pupils having to wait for me or the tech to be found to fix things. I think I spent the time reading, sorry meant researching, on Edugeek!!
