  1. We use Zabbix (https://www.zabbix.com/) - Client on each device Then we use Grafana (https://grafana.com/) to display it all nicely on a monitor in our office.
  2. 3. We're not asking for them back either. They can stay with the students. Even after they have left. We're not classing them as a school asset. We have recorded who has what device, so can contact them if the Borough/DfE ask for them back.
  4. If the monitors have HDMI you can use some of these cables. Or some of these if they have DVI.
  5. Can't you just use DP to the two monitors and HDMI to the Projector/Smart Screen.
  6. You could check in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository from a laptop that has yet to be re-imaged Or you could use the Driver Solutions Pack (https://drp.su/en)
  7. We're not calling any of ours back. They would be very poor as a shared device. Build quality is good on the Dell and Acer (not so good on the Dynabook and HP), but they all have inferior specs. Wouldn't last five minutes with internet, Word, Powerpoint and Photoshop open on them. Would prefer them not being on the network to be honest. Or having to support them. Good for what they were intended for. Home learning. Students will still need something for their homework, or if they need to isolate. They can keep them for the full 6 years, or until they break / get sold
  8. We use the EPSON Web Remote. We found that the physical remotes kept going 'walkies' too. We put a shortcut to the remote in the root of the staff shared drive. It's configured to only connect to the projector that is in the room that that the teacher is logged into. This is done using a xampp database. To set this up, you have to have a xampp server with a database that corelates the room computer name and the room projector name. The projectors need to have static/reserved IPs and a set name. Don't forget to turn the Standby Mode to 'Communication On'. This allows the teacher to turn the projector On from the web remote. Here's the code for the xampp index.htm file $hostname = gethostbyaddr($_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']); $servername = "[sERVER NAME]"; $username = "[uSERNAME]"; $password = ""; $dbname = "[DATABASE NAME]"; // Create connection $conn = new mysqli($servername, $username, $password, $dbname); // Check connection if ($conn->connect_error) { die("Connection failed"); } $sql = "SELECT client_host, projector_host from mapping where client_host = '$hostname'"; $result = $conn->query($sql); if ($result->num_rows > 0) { while($row = $result->fetch_assoc()) { $projector_host = $row['projector_host']; $url = "http://EPSONWEB:admin@$projector_host/webremote/index.html"; echo " "; exit(); } } else { die("You are not allowed to access this page from this location."); } $conn->close(); ?>
  9. Just received my goodie box. Thank you Just in time for tea break
  10. I had a flat screen TV once that the HDMI ports all suddenly stopped working. A bit of Googling later revealed that the likely cause was hairline cracks in the soldering due to the TV heating up and cooling down. Followed the instruction to take out the board and pop it in the oven to 'reflow' the solder. To my surprise, it worked!! Although, if your CTouch is still in warranty. I'd get them out to repair it.
  11. Can't you just highlight all your users in AD - Right click - Properties - Check 'User must change password at next logon' then after a week do the same but check the box for 'Password never expires'
  12. Not if the Lobby setting is set to allow 'Only Me'. We tell the cover teacher that they have to create another meeting for that class/channel. This assumes that the cover teacher has been added to the Team (which we can do if the teacher hasn't)
  13. Thank you :-) Think I've submitted. Not had any confirmation email yet
  14. We use SynologySurveillanceStation Had to use a few media converters for our old analogue cameras while we implement our CCTV upgrade to all IP
  15. Has the teacher/owner of the Team activated the Team? If the Team has not been activated, we found that none of the students for that Team can use the chat function. Go to the Teams tab (left navigation bar) - Find the Team in question - Click 3 dots next to Team name - Click Manage Team - If it needs activating, there will be an Activate button at the top
