We have 47 with 2000 students. Most of these are in offices, with 1/3 in classrooms. 42 are Lexmark 748s so cartridge management isn't too bad. A better question is how many printers do we really need. 10 maybe - the three MFDs we have in resources, one in art, one in graphics, two in the library, one for personnel (who we can't convince that pull print is confidential) and one at each end of the campus. If we did this, our printing costs would halve. At the last school I was at, they went from 50+ printers (with about 30 different models) to three - one upstairs, one downstairs and one for reception.

I last wrote a cheque in December, to pay my council tax. The next one I write will be in March when the new council tax starts. The last time that I received a cheque was in September, a delay repay from London Midland. I always ask for a cheque for delay repay. In both cases, I do it to piss them off. They both want to do it direct to/from your account, but I don't allow that. In the case of London Midland, the cheque option for delay repay is well hidden, but I found it. I haven't claimed from the new franchise yet.
