Things you haven't said/thought in quite some time...
witch replied to Dos_Box's topic in General Chat
No it doesn't - well not as far as I know. In this instance the word "prove" means "test", so it is the exception that tests the rule out. *nb It seems that your version is probably a newer one than mine -

@Koldov I had a similar issue where the teacher couldnt open Powerpoints unless everything else was closed. No idea why
-
Not sure what that is supposed to mean - the Bank of England doesn't make notes with poo so that is a pointless statement.

Did my normal body blitz class today but it had things in that were tough - shuttle runs etc, and afterwards I felt very sick

Ah..I expect it is the PC power supply that has failed -
The issue about traces of whatever on things isnt really something you can do anything about. There is probably fecal matter and human urine traces on many things, money included. You can only do your best with the facts in hand. As for life being important - vegetarians don't eat fish or insects either. Plants do not have any sort of conciousness as far as I know. If they do - I shall be starving very soon BTW- there are many reasons for being a vegetarian. I do not like the way we treat animals raised for meat, and we eat far too much animal protein. I know that humans are carnivorous, and I have no problem with that per se.

Beat me to it! -
There you are - the issue in a nutshell - the point is that people were not told that the notes contained animal fat. If they were, you are right, it is THEIR right to choose what to do. But in order to make an informed choice, you have to be informed!! As for you, @Galway Do you have any firm beliefs at all? I would rather see people who care enough to be outraged then live in a world where everything and everyone is sneered at and put down at every turn. That's MY OPINION btw, not a moderators...

Back to topic... Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Mine is, as a vegetarian, i try to avoid all animal products as much as is possible. I was surprised that a modern product was produced using tallow. But so be it. As for having to follow the herd (! see what I did there) because we are basically farmers - well , that just isn't true anymore. This countries wealth mostly came from the Industrial Revolution. I have my reasons for being a vegetarian, that I can happily explain if anyone wants to hear. The argument that "you might as well use it, it is dead already" doesn't really work either. Yes, it is dead, but if people DON'T use it then another one might not be killed

Er....I cant see how the pollution issue has anything much to do with this. I am a vegetarian and I think I am as entitled to my opinion as anyone else. I would have liked to have known first so that I could make an informed decision I don't think your confrontational tone and inflammatory use of word such as "spew" helps in the least. Many people, not just vegetarians, will be affected by this.

Does she need all the emails from that inbox - as a work around can you just redirect them for now?

Ultra Short Throw projector and 3M tab tensioned screen
witch replied to witch's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
I am also being told that it will wash out at the edges as well. As well as the fact that the screen will be ultra wide and therefore pretty short! -
My school want to replace their current projector in the hall with an ultra short throw. They also want to increase the screen size to 3m and use a tab tensioned roll up screen. One of my usual suppliers has quoted but is very concerned about even the smallest of screen movement resulting in a wobble which will be hard to watch. The other, a specialist AV supplier have quoted for a 2M screen but not a 3M as they are also concerned. Has anyone got an ultra short throw with a 3m tab tensioned roll-up screen?

He's lovely! My friend has a Sprockador (springer/cocker/lab) who is gorgeous - but completely bonkers - so be warned (btw - it's a crossbreed, or a mongrel - no shame in that!!)

Fantastic Beasts and where to find them It was a bit slow to start but once it got going it was good. Huge pointer to the rest of the series

I have them quite a lot at home - I usually tell them exactly what they are doing and that it is morally unacceptable. They usually argue with me and disbelieve that I am a computer engineer even when I tell them where they were going to get me to look and what they were going to say

But why would it stay slow after being re-imaged?
