I was told to set up conditional forwarders for dorsetcc.gov.uk and dorsetcc.local with the IP as given here
-
This is for accessing the county finance package I believe so yes, I have to do as they say!
-
We have just flattened the network and have to set up a couple of conditional forwarders for county They are set up fine but just don't work - the computer cannot connect. I can ping the address with no problems. The site doesn't seem to work though 10.224.48.210 Can anyone help? I don't think we will get much help from Dorset CC as we have moved away from their support!

intel, definitely. An SSD is a bonus but not absolutely necessary IMHO

mrwITch says "My SQL but "Sequel Server" Advert-ise-ment is American pronunciation apparently. What about "controversy"? I was taught "con TROV ersy" but most people seem to say "CONtroVersy" these days. Several words seem to have changed pronunciation since I was younger: Uranus and Clematis to name just two
-
We have Leigh Road which is pronounced Lie as well - always confuses the outsiders. Chideock which is pronounced Chiddick Rampisham is Ransom I do correct Quay to Key in my head but it takes a few milliseconds! I hate it when people say Adver-tisement and not ad-vertissment
-
Hmm Still read "Quay" wrongly - and I live 3 miles from Poole Quay! Archi-pel-ago was always Ar-chip-el-A-go when I was younger Chloe was Chole Penelope was Pen-e-lope I'm sure there are more I know someone who talks about a Pavola rather than a Pavlova An old friend of my mum's used to go on holiday to Gwynedd in Wales, and it didn't matter HOW many times my mum, whose name was Gywneth, told her how to pronounce it, she just didn't get it

We allow the staff to use BCX Change Password. Works like a charm and if the student realises he or she can't get out of the classroom, it might magically cut down the number of requests

Sorry to hear about your dad. My LA has the amount of leave stated in the contract. It is something awful like 2 days. But don't worry, if the schools are happy then that should be fine

We use Clicker, Wordshark, Rapid Reading and Rapid Writing.

That's really interesting - I shall monitor this when I next have a diet Coke - I don't like the taste of the full fat stuff. MrwITch is trying to avoid artificial sweeteners as they cause bloating for him. As for choc bars getting smaller - saves the company money. Nothing to do with sugar or health!

Resident Evil - the Final Chapter It was OK. But full of that horrible very close up filming where you can't see what on earth is going on. Plot holes you can drive a bus through, of course, but reasonably entertaining. Not a patch on the first two though
