  1. And yet my son, who has asthma, as well as a clinically vulnerable wife, has not been invited for a vaccine Bizarre!
  2. @sonofsanta Thanks very much for the recommendation re Greenland. As you say, not a standard disaster movie. There were definitely a few nail-biting moments! Worth a watch, definitely [
  3. Enjoyed watching a HUGE bumblebee on the gorse on the heath. Somehow I felt the bee was really enjoying itself

    Boo !!

Hello you! Welcome back Glad all is good
  5. Goodness, @mavhc - You, following the crowd opinion of films? And I thought you were such a maverick Yes, there are hundreds of films out there and if you have access to many streaming services as well as catch up TV and so on, it is easy to spend a very long time trying to find a film you like the look of. In fact it is easy to run out of time all together
  6. Enjoying Unforgotten and The Walking Dead is back!! It had gone off a bit but the new episode seems to have returned to an earlier and more understandable time
  7. What a lovely picture. I'm wearing my Wales hoodie this morning in honour of the day!
  8. Remember that the face of witch that you see may not be the reality. Those wrinkles are just to fit in with others. My true appearance would be too difficult for you to comprehend I've just looked at my arm and currently, 5 hours in, I cant even see where the injection was.
  9. It seems to be if you are 60 here you can book. And it works, had mine today
  10. batman...
  11. @mikeprice They are referring to oral steriods like prenisolone not the inhaled sort It isn't just people with only one inhaler that are not considered at risk. I have a preventer that keeps my asthma so well controlled I cant remember the last time I needed my blue inhaler, and I am not considered high risk.
  12. Bone...
  13. Thanks. Watched this today and it was a bit of fun - plus I learned a few things about Hawaii that I didn't know
  14. Very interesting - not sure if my preventer has budesonide in it though. Cheering to know that us asthmatics may not be at as much risk as we thought
  15. 7 minutes of burpees? I'd be sick from having my head down for that long I did just do FitnessBlender's 1000 calorie workout though - that was a challenge!
  16. Space Sweepers Netflix New Korean film Given that everything else, both korean films and series we have watched have been very good, this was SUCH a disappointment. Confused narrative, plot leaps, rubbish acting, the lot!
  17. The Holderness family do brilliant parodies as well - mostly just him and his wife rather than having clever children, but still lots of fun:
  18. Lower Decks got better as it went along Currently watching Spiral series 2 on BBC 4 catchup. French crime show. Very well done and fascinating to see how the French juditial system is very different to ours Title annoys me a bit because it actually translales to "Gears" not Spiral You can brush up on your french - it is quite fun to read the subtitles and shout " That isnt what he said" !!
  19. We may be dropping now, but we did have a massive spike in infections not long ago so they are still much higher than they have been prior to September of last year. It may be that the local strain is more infectious. or something
  20. The dreaded lurgi is definitely creeping closer. Up until recently the South West's infection levels were pretty low but they are ramping up fast. This week alone, two of my children (and partners) and two of my friends have had to isolate because of being in contact with someone who has tested positive
  21. I have kept up with my 5 day a week Fitness Blender routines. Currently just finishing a 4 week strength training program. Don't know if it is my mental health or what but in the last few weeks my fitness seems to have gone down a bit - did a hard HIIT yesterday and even with lots of breaks I nearly expired on the carpet!
  22. Yes, I saw this. The difference for us though is that every single parcel is different - I checked on amazon and there doesnt seem to be any connection between the sellers
  23. The Dig Netflix Very atmospheric - the sort of thing the British are very good at. I don't generally like films that portray relatively recent events because the events are fictionalised when we do actually know most of what really happened. The main female lead for example is portrayed as rather a pathetic character when in reality she had travelled the world and served as a nurse. Ralph Fiennes was very very good though Invasion Planet Earth Netflix Not so much a "B" movie, more a "J" movie was mrwITch's opinion. He's not wrong!
  24. We starting this again? Oh why not - lockdown and all er Cheapies
