My fitness has been derailed by what I thought was a shoulder issue but is in fact something wrong in my neck vertebra. After nearly a year of horrid pain, I have got it calm enough to return to exercise.BUT I can no longer lift heavy when doing upper body stuff. I can hold heavier weights doing lower body, but nowhere near where I was, and too much head-down HIIT stuff such as mountain climbers is a no -no as well.

Moonfall Good and unusual idea Terribly executed Even just as a cameo, Donald Sutherland, what were you thinking?

Cult.....

Glad to see someone else loves Justified And, OK, I tried Expanse again and this time we have got a bit further and we still vaguely understand what in heck is going on

Snowpiercer - it's BACK!!!

This use of words really bothers me..."Defy" and "Orders" belong in sentences aimed at those in a police state or a dictatorship... ( and if Tesco can say they still want me to wear a mask, I am sure a school could too)

The King's Man Hated it although I liked the other two I dont mind a bit of violence but this was a little revolting in places and generally sad almost all the time. It seemed to be several films put together and there was altogether too much WW1 It just didnt work for me

My daughter's best friend's husband died of Covid yesterday He was 30 He wasnt vaccinated not for any particular reason but just because he was too lazy to sort it out So now she is on her own because he was a bit of an idiotic man who was also hugely overweight

Absolutely don't agree re The Expanse. Pretentious carp IMHO Been reading hard sci-fi for 50 years so have some experience of the genre

Been watching Missions - french Sci-Fi And Another Life - interesting Cobra Dr Who Watched the three parter, Tower, on ITV last night, Was OK but not great and the cameraman seems to want to film ridiculously close to people at times

Watching my grandson giggle as he points to his ears when you say "Where is your nose?" Life has been tough lately for many reasons but he has been the light in the darkness. Thank you Evan

Zombieland - Double Tap (netflix) Yeah yeah - not as good as the first film and a bit late too but I loved it

Local special needs school is now closed as they found 18 cases - mostly children without symptoms. A couple of adults mildly ill. They have to be especially careful as many of the children are immunocompromised. Just shows the extra catchability of the Delta variant as the school hasnt had anything like this in all the time they have been open since the lockdown

They would be for ME, not him :}

Free Guy - Ryan Reynolds I enjoyed it - a bit of fun. About a man called Guy who lives in a video game

Juat been to the Air Radar Museum at Neatishead Norfolk Absolutely brilliant. Lots of information, amazing kit and knowledgeable volunteers

Hes read The Forever War but the Andy Weir looks good! No paperback yet though sadly

OK Guys - just hopped on here to ask if anyone has read any good hard sci fi or sciency books lately? It is mrwITch's birthday next week and I am completely stumped - again! He didnt know what to get me for my birthday either but I would like to get SOMETHING for him

We will miss you, @LeMarchand

I went back to a band this week - still wearing masks if moving around but the chairs are no longer decently spaced. Ok for me because no instruments blowing air on me from behind. But not great for the Sax sitting next to me - given that I play the French Horn which sends air out sideways

Would be lovely to see Ciara (and you, of course!) Still waiting for that Horn Solo

Finished Line of Duty and Bosch. Now watching Cardinal - OK so far Flash and Legends are back as well as Lucifer. Finished Superstore which was really good - I didnt think I would like it but it reels you in Been trying to watch Intergalactic but not that impressed so far New Amsterdam is back this week too - yay!

I shall be driving up from the Poole area if anyone wants a lift. I will probably get there a bit earlier though if that's OK? @AJWhite1970

IO (Netflix) Full of introspection and meaningful quotes/glances etc. Plot holes you could drive a tank through. Not engaging for me at all
