  1. I may be a lot quieter these days - but I am here - and I have been learning new transfigurations....
  2. 19-2 Netflix. French Canadian Cop drama. Took a couple of episodes to get going but held up after that Need more detective-type stuff! We have watched Black Spot, Three Pines, Spiral, Magpie Murders. Line of Duty, and all sorts of Scandi stuff - any suggestions?
  3. Just finished this - loved it
  4. All the Star Wars films in order Boy did they all fail a lot - other than destroying the Death Star very little was achieved in any of the films!
  5. Everything Everywhere All at Once Interesting film - good in parts but generally a bit over-engineered in some places. A sci-fi film made for people who dont watch sci-fi . Enjoyed it though
  6. The Last of Us (Sky Atlantic) DeadWind (Netflix). Scandi detective series - interestingly set in Finland Black Spot (Netflix) French detective series Finished White Lotus Loved The Rig
  7. Loved this. Need a new series though - is there going to be one?
  8. Yes. I should have said, the SOLD prices are all over the place
  9. I have come here to beg forgiveness. Some time ago I dissed The Expanse.. How wrong I was. Some of the best proper hard sci-fi I have seen in many a long year About to start the final series - boo hoo I also love The Orville. Star Trek for the 21st Century.
  10. I have been given a couple of old Compaq bits of kit - an E500 which I know isnt worth much, and a PC TC1000. The latter is pretty cool as we have the keyboard and the screen swivels. No idea if either work as we dont have power supplies. Using a slightly not right power supply boots the E500 but that is all - it never gets past the Win 98 bit and we think it is searching for some sort of network as it was probably a work laptop back in the day. There are a few TC1000s on ebay but the prices are all over the place. Can anyone advise on what the best thing to do would be and what they are actually worth?
  11. Morbius Disappointing. Didnt really go anywhere. Effects were ridiculous - no chance of seeing what on earth was going on. At the end it became clear this was a setup for the next film
  12. No more Supertramp jokes - or you will find you will have to take the long way home....
  13. Yes - i do know about Monty Python - I am that old that I can remember watching the series on TV and loving it! I was more surprised that someone on here, knowing who I am and what I can do - would even dare to talk about burning witches! (and I weigh a lot more than a duck!)
  14. Hmmmm - it is nonsense of course, there are many people who define their employment as such However, I'm not sure quite what to think about the "burn her" comments And whilst I do understand the origins of the "duck" as mentioned, I do wonder if it is time for a change.. So.. Mallard? Shelduck? Rubber?
  15. The Mist Netflix Three episodes in and although it is a bit slow in places, there is a suitable amount of suspense and jumpy moments
  16. The Adam Project (Netflix) I enjoyed it although it was fairly uninspiring and derivative. But I was mesmerised by Mark Ruffalo's weird accent
  17. @Steve21 Where would be the best place to look for a plugin for this?
  18. mrwITch is doing a website for an artist friend. She wants a set of pictures on a page and have it so that if you click on one, it enlarges, and then you have left/right arrows to scroll through the rest of the images on that page Is this possible? Help very gratefully received
  19. Neck/Shoulder issue seems to be OK at present. I have managed quite a bit of HIIT and cardio as well as being able to up my weights a little bit, which is good. Still being careful though - when the workout calls for 4x20 sec bouts of HIIT doing something with my weight on my arms, I do two sets and then jumping jacks or jump squats for the other two. I cannot do anything that means I have to balance on one arm - T stabilisations, side planks etc. My arm just gives way immediately
  20. 13 MinutesNetflix All about tornados. Film pretty cheesy but the effects and aftermath are very good
  21. Daffodils
  22. The problem with Reacher is that it isnt just that the actor isnt 6ft 6 etc, more that it is an integral part of the books. His size and muscularity often comes into the stories - sometimes it helps him, sometimes it doesnt. Without that there is an important element missing afaic Watching All of us are dead on Netflix Bonkers Korean zombie series. Amusing that the characters reference Last train to Busan quite often!
  23. It is brilliant news! When will we get to see it..soon I hope
