Hi @Trojan we're a MOBOTIX installer and integrator. We have partnered with them for a number of years and have a lot of EDU sites using the solution. Pure IP, with cameras starting around the £300 mark. Great portfolio and technology. In a number of sites we have replaced 4/5 cameras with just 1, that records all aspects. We haven't heard of any issues yet. The new FW comes with a GUI refresh for the ZoneDirectors to make it look like the SmartZone, which has gone down pretty well

Think the portfolio starts around the £300 per camera mark, so they are more expensive tha the likes of Hikvision and Dahua but if you look at cost over an entire project you will be able to save money by requiring less cameras, no support conracts to maintain, and due to no moving parts you shouldnt need to spend any money on them. They will just work.

We provide the MOBOTIX portfolio of IP-CCTV cameras and have a lot of EDU establishments using the system, it really is an impressive solution. It doesn’t require the need for expensive NVR/DVR and high specification PC hardware, which is a great bonus. There is no single point of failure, regardless of the environment as long as the camera has standard PoE to hand even in the event of the NAS/NVR or entire comms room losing power, the site will remain being monitored and all recordings will go direct to the on board SD card until power is restored and data transferred back to the main storage area. There are no license fees, free software and software updates for life, meaning no maintenance contracts are needed for cleaning or lubricating moving parts, firmware updates can be applied when required at a suitable time. Some of the free software has the ability to object/people count and heat mapping on a single lens camera, which look brilliant. We are often able to replace 4 or 5 analogue/IP cameras with a single Mobotix camera. We are able to adjust a single lens 360 degree camera type to monitor up to 4 different parts of the room, whilst still recording all of the room all of the time. When looking at IP-CCTV, MOBOTIX is really worth looking into.

Cloudpath by Ruckus would do just this for you. It would allow students to onboard their devices before even arriving at school. It's an incredibly impressive platform. We're able to run a demo to show you the platform, and can set up a demo account for you to have a play with, if of interest.

Hello, we will be able to put forward a Ruckus offering that ticks all the above. To keep costs lower, we would be looking at the R310. We could either go with an Unleashed deployment, where you dont need a controller to keep costs down, or we can look to host your Access Points for you. As part of this service, our engineering team would keep your network up and running, apply FW updates and support your network. You would also be given management access so you could see all 15 remote offices from a single point. We have been putting the R310 in to a lot of SMB environments where density is lower. The Ruckus part is going to be led by Dan Rabinovitsj, who has been at Ruckus for a number of years, which is a great sign. It also seems like the road map is all staying as is. Arris are a current Ruckus distributor for service providers, so they know the technology, which is also a bonus. As mentioned they purchased the campus switch portfolio, which we foresee being branded Ruckus in the not so distant future, as they havent purchased any Brocade branding. We have the partner conference coming up in May, so i'm sure we will hear more then Pull from report: Post-acquisition, ARRIS plans for Ruckus to continue as a dedicated business unit headed by current Ruckus COO, Dan Rabinovitsj, maintaining dedicated channel, sales, marketing, product management and engineering organizations. Under Dan’s leadership, Ruckus will retain the focus on partners that both Ruckus and Brocade are known for, and on continuing the sales momentum we’ve already seen with a combined wireless and wired portfolio, with the added scale, stability and resources the completion of the ARRIS’ acquisition is expected to bring.

Morning @Zammo , no personal experience of that product, but as an alternative Ruckus have a product called Cloudpath. It works with all WiFi manufacturers. I am running an event in London with Juniper Networks on the 29th March at Juniper's offices (EC2R 8AY) and would like to invite the Edugeek community to join us.
