Hello everyone, I was speaking with @TheScarfedOne the other day about an event we ran a year or so back which provided training on Juniper Networks OS Junos, and whether such an event could be ran again. I have asked the question and it seems I would be able to organise a similar event if it was of interest to a few people. So I thought I would reach out to the EduGeek community to see if there were any others out there that could get something out of the day. It’s not salesy, and is essentially an introductory course into the Junos OS. I have placed an outline of what was includes last time below; this could be changed to ensure it covered what you all would like to learn about. It would be based in London with a Juniper technician. Many thanks, Josh Objectives • Describe the basic design architecture of the Junos OS. • Identify and provide a brief overview of Junos devices. • Navigate within the Junos CLI. • Perform tasks within the CLI operational and configuration modes. • Configure and monitor network interfaces. • Navigate within the Junos J-Web interface. Course Contents Chapter 1: Introduction • Agenda • Juniper Networks Technical Certification Path for JUNOS Based Platforms. Chapter 2: Junos Operating System Fundamentals • The Junos OS • Traffic Processing • Platforms Running the Junos OS • Junos Software Package Naming Convention Chapter 3: User Interface Options • User Interface Options • The Junos CLI: CLI Basics • The Junos CLI: Operational Mode • The Junos CLI: Configuration Mode • Archiving Configurations • Junos Interface naming • The J-Web GUI

Recently bought an Juniper WLC880R and WLC2800 and wanted to update it to latest firmware but Juniper won't let me download the updates since it is out of warranty. I cannot find updates for it anywhere on the internet. Can anyone help? THANKS

I am running an event in London with Juniper Networks on the 29th March at Juniper's offices (EC2R 8AY) and would like to invite the Edugeek community to join us. This is going to be more of a technical session, but they will be referring to their switching and firewalling platforms. It will also be a great chance to get hands-on with some of their kit, including their new Network Director and Security Director solutions, which look really smart. There is some more information below and on our registration page: Juniper Hands-on Session I really think is going to be a great event, and would really like some of the EduGeek community to join us. Hello, We are running a webinar with Juniper Networks on the 12th October at 10.30.We have two really great speakers from Juniper taking the session. It is going to be looking at the digital shift in education to support the latest learning applications and how best to plan for it. We will also be sending out some pretty awesome registration packs for those of you that are able to listen in. It would be great if we could get some Edugeekers on the session. You can register here: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/107222559988640515 There will be a chance for live Q+A at the end of the session as well. Webinar Outline: As digital learning becomes the predominant learning model, networks and security must be ready to support digital learning, online courses and assessments. However, the move to Digital is just one of the challenges an IT team has to deal with and at times it can feel like there is a danger of technology overload. Colleges that don’t properly prepare for this shift suffer from traffic bottlenecks, security threats, and increasing operational complexity - all critical issues that can disrupt a digital learning environment. Join us at this webinar and find out how Juniper Networks and Net Ctrl can help the scale, performance, security, and agility needed to connect digital traffic to and from the classroom, study areas, cloud-based applications, and the Internet on a non-stop basis
