Most of our Windows 10 devices (some running LTSC 1809 and some running Edu 1709) gain an hour every now and then. As far as I can tell it only occurs on a reboot, but not at every reboot. The bigger problem is that after a couple of weeks the PC has obviously been booted a number of times so is several hours out, throwing out Impero logs etc. None of my Windows 7 devices do this and seem to quite happily pick up their time from the DC. Any thoughts, or anyone else getting this? Thank you Stuart

I think you'll find plenty of negative comments on these forums about CRB Cunninghams, and hardly any positive.

I find this a little unlikely. I can't see a 0.5mb feed coping with a class of 30 kids all trying to use OWA on top of all the staff dotted about the place already using it, also on top of all the other classes using the Internet for general things. The struggle I was referring to was Microsoft making a product work in the first place, not getting help for it when it doesn't, but point taken too! Perhaps if I can get some people to say "We have x users and y internet speed" I can look at going 365 instead of moving to 2016 as I really haven't got very far down that line...... Stuart

After quite a battle, I've got it installed. Yay!! Well actually, no, not "Yay"! If I try and open the Exchange Administrative Center, it asks for a username and password (which says "wrong" if I enter incorrect details so must be working to a point) but then gives an error 500 as soon as I sign in. Please, any suggestions anyone? I don't have an out of the ordinary install as far as I'm aware, why is it such a struggle? Stuart

Is it worth trying the hard disk in a different make/model of computer and running the capture again? We use LTSC and have had no issues.

Yup, I'll certainly keep watching it. Not quite the necessary chemistry between them, but I think it stands a chance of getting there. Still think they should have tried to get Suzy Perry, Vicki Butler-Henderson and Jodie Kidd.

I've made quite a bit of progress on this now having battled with it most of the day. Even though the PROXY was set, I had to set it using netsh winhttp as well. Then had some PowerShell things to run, and a command line setup.exe with a lot of switches and eventually came across another error. I Googled that one and found that Exchange 2016 isn't supported (and won't install) on Server 2019! Argh! I know I should have checked that to begin with, but the amount of results I found I clearly am not the only person. I start again on Monday on Server 2016..... Stuart

I can find hundreds of tutorials for migrating Exchange, but none I can actually work through successfully. I have Exchange 2010 SP3 running on a Server 2008 R2. It's had an initial hybrid setup config done, but nothing actually moved anywhere. I want to go to Exchange 2016 on Server 2019, I'm not going cloud as I have a 35mb Internet connection and can't currently pay for a quicker connection. The ones I can find either don't take into consideration the hybrid bit so I stumble when the setup notices that exists, or say things like "Now do this bit where you've extracted the setup to" but at no point told you to extract the setup files. There just seem to be bits missing. I got frustrated and just tried running setup.exe off the Exchange 2016 disc on the new 2019 server to see how far I'd get and it said "Enter the credentials of an office 365 account that's a member of the organization management role". Looking in the admin centre, I can't see a role of "Organization Management", so I used credentials for a Global Admin and it didn't like it. Can anyone help please? Stuart

High School. We use 15.6" laptops. Last time I was looking to buy, I got told on more than one occasion that 13" and 14" laptops tended to be more expensive! Also depends whether the trolley is static and the kids go to it and get laptops then walk back to their class, or whether the trolley is delivered to the room.

For a school with around 100 staff and 650 students, and nothing else cloud based, what minimum speed connection would people suggest to go O365 for email? -
Nichola Oates (Simply IT) She's brilliant.

Solved. I disabled Offline files manually, rebooted and then my "Documents" pointed at my home drive. I have now turned Offline files back on and it is still working. Go figure........

Our users have the home folder set on their account to map a network drive, which works. I have then set the Documents redirection to "Redirect to the user's home directory". It doesn't work. No redirection, not even appearing in the gpresults wizard. The strange thing though is that I have set "Music", "Videos" and "Pictures" to "Follow the documents folder" and these do get redirected to the network drive. Now if they are following the documents folder and are pointing to the correct place, how come the "Documents" stays pointing locally with no errors in any log anywhere? Please help! Thank you Stuart *** EDIT *** This is in my local log; Not a lot of use.....

Not something I'd heard before. Why is it more vulnerable than other versions?

I've got Spiceworks, but that isn't running any scans at the time.

We run Papercut and have Sharp MFDs throughout. Today I am losing connection to some of my printers completely (won't even ping) randomly, then they come back again. The curious thing is I am only losing access to certain models! We have a MX-5140N and three MX-C312 which all stay working. We have a MX-7040N, two MX-C301W, and two MX-M654N which all stop working at the same time as each other, and then come back to life at the same time as each other. The printer's network port continues to blink activity and static green light indicatin connection, as does the switch's. We have tried; - Turning printers/server off and on again. - Checked for duplicate IP addresses - They are plugged in to different switches throughout the school - Different network leads - Different ports we know work on the same switch - We've unplugged a printer and then given a computer that printers IP settings and the computer has full network connectivity - We wheeled a working printer down the corridor and plugged it in in a room where one wasn't working and it carried on working fine - The switches (all HP) are not reporting any issues in their logs - If I redirect a not working print queue to a working print queue on the server, it will then print out of the working printer - We don't have any VLANs As far as I am aware I've ruled out switches, cables, VLANs, print queues, IP settings, and I haven't left myself with much else to look at. Please....... Anyone any ideas? Sharp don't. Stuart

Wow, there's a sweeping statement, and wrong too. SchoolsBroadband's reply to my ticket I logged when it happened to us and we had changed nothing; -

And if you don't pay it and they find you are using it/using more than the licences you bought, they will go after you and win. -
The smartwatch 3 won't run OSWear 2 though will it? Perhaps it's a feature of v2?

Having received a few emails, it isn't contextual as the buttons are always the same. I have now pressed them all, and they all make the watch vibrate and a tick appear on the screen. That appears to be it! The notification doesn't clear, no reply sent, can't tell anything else happening.
-
Dunno. I didn't want to find they change a setting which I then need to try and change back somehow.
-
Got me a Moto 360 gen 2 watch running OSWear 2. When I get an email notification, underneath it are buttons which say "Yes", "No", and "OK". What do they do? Stuart

I've seen those too. We are in Suffolk though. Give us a chance to catch up with the rest of the country technologically.
