I assume they're talking about having their own laptop so it would be logged on as them all the time. Fixed desktops in classrooms means that if the room is used by different staff, lots of logging on and off happens.

Don't know if you can do it with O365, but with our on-site exchange we just set the student accounts to bounce emails sent from the Governors.

I find a common thing seems to be adding so many things to a menu that the menu then doesn't fit on the screen!

FMS is not sending emails externally, and apparently hasn't been for ages but I've only just found out. The report says "It was not possible to e-mail the BACS remittance advice for supplier (Supplier's name) on BACS run xxx. Received error message was: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay. Failed when sending RCPT TO:. Send failed." I've done some Googling and found this; Do I really want to be doing that? Stuart

Thanks to all for your input, I now feel slightly bad for the time and effort you've contributed as after discussions with my 13 yr old son he's gone completely left field and decided he doesn't need to upgrade the computer after all and instead has bought himself some books and a bunch of different sized rubik cubes! He now has a 2x2x2, a 3x3x3, a 4x4x4 and a pyramid one. He can already do two of them without instructions.......

Just gaming, but nothing too trying. Minecraft, a few ragdoll games. It seems to cope fine at the moment. It's more about it will need upgrading at some point, what's best to do first. The video card gets very noisy when it's having to work! Any recommendations on a card?

After some advice. My PC at home has an Intel i5-2500 @3.3GHz, 16GB RAM, an SSD and an NVidia GeForce GTX 560. I have only around £110 to play with in amazon vouchers. Are there any sensible upgrades I can do? Thanks Stuart

Can you get interactive TVs which are pressure sensitive? We are gradually replacing all our boards/projectors with TVs but the art department have a pressure sensitive board and don't want to lose the function. Obviously leaving the board there is a perfectly sound option at the moment, but it will fail one day. Thank you Stuart

All my servers and switches have two power supplies, and I have two UPSs, so each device is plugged in to both UPSs. Each UPS has its own power supply on a different fuse board. APC here too.
