I've just tried manually putting in an IP address within my IP range and it then works. Switch it back to DHCP, won't pick up an IP. Removing the card in device manager, scanning for new hardware and reconnecting to the wireless then immediately finds an IP through DHCP. Doesn't need a reboot. So weird..........

I've had this ongoing for months and now have the opportunity to actually sit and look at it. I have a couple of members of staff who get an unauthorised message if you type in the URL for the booking system, and the link to it doesn't appear on HAP for them. They are in the same groups in AD as everyone else who it does work for. If they go to "My Files" then they get no network drives listed. I have even tried changing the "Show To" in the HAP Config to other groups that they are in and it still doesn't work. Any ideas please? It is completely baffling me! Thank you Stuart

Samsung phones and Ruckus here. We had this problem off and on and it turned out to be our filtering system. We never fixed it, it just went away. I know that isn't necessarily massively helpful, but look at your filtering too. We are NetSweeper.

We've just bought a lot of Lenovo V15 IIL laptops. Randomly they won't get an IP address, they show a 169.254.x.x address. If you type "ipconfig /all" they have the correct DNS servers. If you type "ipconfig /renew" it says "The operation was cancelled by the user" against the Wi-Fi connection. I have IP addresses available. All my other devices (HP, Dell, iPads, Samsung phones, MacBooks) all connect fine. The Lenovos don't have a built in NIC, but if I plug in a USB -> NIC adapter that will get an IP address straight away. We're using latest drivers. It's a Realtek card. Removing the NIC in device manager and rebooting, then reconnecting it to the wireless fixes the problem for a bit, then randomly it will stop again. It never stops working while the device is in use, just when it's fired up again sometime later, but sometimes even then it works. Ruckus unleashed with R610 access points. The primary school down the road has 10 of these units and they show the same symptoms, and they were built by a different person, from a different source on a different network. Any thoughts?? Yeah, firewall on the device you're trying to connect to, not the DC.

I have a teacher that for a very long reason I want to delete from AD and then re-create as a new user. She has an O365 account which is sync'd from AD. What will happen to her O365 account and all the Teams she is in? Email is on-site exchange so I can sort that. Thank you Stuart

Hiya, Thanks for this but I'm not after a PXE boot via any method, I'm after a WinPE boot disk which will connect to my wireless network. I may look in to docking stations though, that's not a bad shout!

I saw you'd done that. I've read it through and got a working bootable USB, but I still can't get it to see my Wi-Fi adapter, and I haven't used MDT before so know nothing about how to make it then talk to the WDS server to download my image. Or do what LeMarchand suggested either. I think I'm going to have to use Acronis and do them one at a time from an HDD or something. I can't spend much more time trying to get this to work or I'll simply run out of time. Thanks for your help everyone though, much appreciated.

I was hoping to avoid the first of those as I have 130 to do. Wanted to get them all fired up and multicast it. I have 10 USB sticks, but no USB/ethernet adapters so would have to buy a few. How did you create a bootable media with the image on it? This may be an option if I can't get my plan working as the image is only about 25GB and I have 32GB sticks.

I've just bought a lot of laptops and we always build them using WDS. Now they have been delivered I have found they don't have Ethernet ports! Yes I probably should have checked, but I am where I am now. I have done some Googling and am struggling. Can I make a USB bootable drive which includes the wireless drivers of the laptop so I can boot using the stick, but then still connect it to WDS and download the image? It appears I can, but I can't get it going properly. Thank you Stuart
