I just remove edge altogether. It doesn't bring anything to the party. IE11 for things that require ActiveX Chrome with a GPO behind it for everything else.

Our Infant school had a chap on retainer for £300/month which got them scheduled backups (Via VPN to a removable hard drive in the guy's house ) and him onsite within an hour and something like up to 20 hours support in the event of an emergency *if they needed it*. They upped my pay by £150 a month sacked him off and profited!

We have carried on largely as before... USB sticks were already bitlockered. We've updated the staff handbook to mention clearing cards and recorders as soon as data is used/transferred and not leaving site with equipment. We've also bought a few meaty shredders that will cope with shredding other media. Staff have been given multiple options for accessing things offsite without having to carry them around with them - RDP, OneDrive and DirectAccess. I think we have 2 members of staff who stubbornly continue to use Sticks still and they have acquiesced to bitlocker.

We don't have a landline, we just use our mobiles - we also don't have any internet service to the property. I piggy back off my Mum's internet connection round the corner via a wifi bridge. She has a sky fibre phone/bb/tv package as she still uses landlines extensively for all the charity work she does. We pay 1/3 of her bill to cover our use of her BB. This also means that we have a single Unifi wifi network across both properties, which is handy.

I've experienced Zoostorm. They're fine when they're working... Actually, no they aren't fine at all. Virtually non existent manufacturer back up, no way of telling what hardware you've got without examining each machine individually. In the room of 30 we had donated at my last school, whilst all of them were cosmetically the same there were multiple different models of main board from 3 different manufacturers which resulted in at least 10 different NIC drivers and 5 different chipsets. I wouldn't touch with a bargepole.

The problem that we have at the infant school is that historically they have had tower cases with the audio on the top. The PCs are on the desk behind the monitors and the lead makes a kind of N shape. If someone scoots away from the PC they snap the jacks off - either in the headphones or in the PC.
