I buy very little new, but most of it comes from ICT Direct or Tier1 Online... The small amounts of equipment we have bought new has been through Dell direct or HP direct where we play one supported pricing team off against the other. Our purchases have been a new HP 15.6" device for one of our heads (we had to pry her Lenovo B5400 out of her hands!), Three Dell AIO for library terminals and a pair of HP touchscreen AIO to replace our signin screens. These are all fairly low spec devices in terms of processor - Ryzen 3 or similar, but they still have 16gb RAM and at least 256gb NVME.

We see no appreciable issues with static groups or dynamic groups for users. The only issue we see are with dynamic groups for devices. The initial processing is inconsistent - I assume based on load at MS. Sometimes membership changes are updated within a few seconds, sometimes it takes an hour or more.

I have schools on both systems - have you checked error logs on the PCs that can't print to see if there are any relevant windows errors? Do the people who are having issues just not have a printer installed or does it error sending the job? We have issues on our hosted site where windows monthly updates seem to kill printing for some users after the initial reboot to install the update, but a second reboot restores everything?

Is this hosted Uniflow or on-prem Uniflow? 9/10 times the issue is not with Uniflow but with Windows printer deployment, however that is done where you are.

We did it at Easter - we're a large primary and we have around 350 Windows devices. We put the teacher's laptops & Admin desktops which are more modern into Autpilot which dropped us down to a shade over 300 devices to build, of which about a quarter are still on spinning disks. I got some help from my Trust and we hit it with 3 of us for 3 days with multiple build sticks each and we were done.

Pretty quick. Certainly comparable to on prem for most policies. I'm happy with it for that purpose. Our issue has been OneDrive being slow/inconsistent to connect to shared libraries.

Yup USB stick to install which at the language screen installs a profile and completes the install - some apps, names the device and joins to intune. We have 5 sticks - Student wired, Student WIFI, Staff wired, Staff WIFI and Admin.

Depends what is driving this - our MAT is driving it and they are intending on *totally* serverless. Serverless to them means the only infrastructure on site is switches and a smoothwall. They are paying a get-out clause for one of our schools to move their telephones to their new cloud based platform from having a tiny PC on site as a phone server - despite the system being less a year old.

Azure and Intune - Completely fresh install with a file on the stick generated with Windows Config Designer. Works a treat.

Can you do an auto reg, then an ACR, then another autoreg, then an ACR etc to see if the values change? I had an Oki do exactly what you're describing and it took running the registration process about 50 times before it all brought it back in line because the values changed so slowly!

One of my schools is a fairly large 3 form entry 2-11 primary with just over 600 students using Azure - we have just upgraded our connection to 300 symmetrical on a gig bearer because we were regularly hitting the end stops of our 100/100 on 100 connection. We are still regularly achieving 250 during our whole school video assemblies (we don't all fit in the hall in one go so we have a whole school Google Meet with video) We have an 80mbps sogea backup line as well. We are also in the process of upgrading the majority of our internal uplinks to 10g as well to eliminate pinch points. We are using Unifi for wireless and for switching.

We've had issues with DP cable versions - never trashing the connected PC, but just not working or causing display issues. For us the issue has been length of cable - a 10m cable wouldn't work, but an 8m would. or Version - the machine and the display were expecting version 1.4 and the cable was not 1.4 compliant - failed to connect or had artefacts on screen. We've also had to use a display port EDID emulator to sort compatibility issues between some our newest DP 2.0 screens and our DP 1.4 or 1.2 devices.

The Mikrotik forums suggests that the 2 separate standalone phones to the same provider will confuse the NAT, particularly if the ISP does further NAT down the line. The Freeola voip service is £6.50 a month, so really quite cheap. I think what I'm going to do is to call Freeola and ask them if they can set up a free trial for me and I'll borrow a voip device from work and test it and report back both to here and to Mikrotik.

This is a fairly niche, home based question, hopefully in the right area... I've got a home connection via Toob on City Fibre. I have a Mikrotik Cloudcore router on it. My Mum who shares my connection via a 1km wireless bridge has a Yealink voip device on Freeola. Her phone works perfectly happily. My Wife has decided that she would also like a home phone (a Yealink W73) but there is some confusion as to whether a second standalone voip device, with a separate number, on the same provider will work with stock NAT settings. To add insult to injury the wife has also decreed that I am categorically not allowed to run a PBX at home - I'm on shaky ground with the Unifi Cloudkey! Anyone tried something like this?

If you have availability and are happy to buy a bare connection and do your own filtering then City Fibre or their resellers are the absolute mutts.

Basically the closer you go to the screen the less light loss you have the less lumens you need and more consumer grade your projector can be. If hanging from a lighting bar is an option then do that... Depends... Are you front or rear projecting? UST above the screen? Projecting from the back of the hall 30m away or suspended from a lighting bar 5m away. If you're doing something simple from a short distance then I usually just go NEC, anything more complicated and you are in Christie/Barco with specialist lenses territory. It is sometimes cheaper to consider a small LED video wall or a large 108" panel than a Barco depending on things like needing protection from balls!

We have suites at all of my schools - the staff have been consulted about them and have asked for them to remain. This decision is based on the fact that they have 45 minutes lessons and getting a trolley full of laptops out and set up takes about half the available lesson time before the kids even try to log in. Being able to walk the class into the suite, sit down and wiggle the mouse to wake up takes minutes. We have a full and fairly involved computing curriculum prescribed by our MAT so everything has to work!

We've had moments starting about 12:30 where it's repeatedly loaded a page or taken a very long time to move between screens. Groups has been the worst for us. Several minutes to load the the main page and then about 2 minutes to move between group types.

I did a similar thing with a house of worship I support - they had a stock BT box which didn't provide enough coverage. They needed the whole place covering so a Unifi POE Lite and a 5 pack of APs was the way forward.

We've got some cameras that are remote from the building on poles and they run a camera, sometimes up to 4, a Ubiquiti nanostation and sometimes a POE switch. They've got a couple of big 12v batteries some power supply stuff and a fairly sizeable solar panel in a plastic box. The site staff just clean the leaves off with a brush every day. We have discovered that they will run for 4 days with the the solar panel disconnected after the site assistant pulled the wires out while cleaning it!

I'm using a cloudkey at all of my sites (and at home) for visibility beacuse I only need a glorified controller rather than a router. I would suggest that if you can swap to a cloud key that'd be a more appropriate device for what you want to do.
