Yes - and we've seen the similar issues. The other thing I thought of was how long is your cable run? I'd forgotten we'd done this... We had to reduce our cable runs to get a stable connection to our old 4065 boards which happened to be in the same places. The old connection was almost 20m and went up and across the ceiling and when we changed from desktop PCs to docks we had problem on the 4065 with it repeatedly disconnecting and showing artefacts. We reduced them all to 5m by going direct around the wall and it made the connection stable. I tried our docks (Dell 3100 and WD19) after work on Friday, 1-5m cables were stable but at 10m the connection does what you're describing. I'll take 7 and 8m cables to try tomorrow.

They must be connected by the wifi... Sounds like a job for Radius for your own devices.

Try changing the HDMI version to 1.4 in the board settings. It's made a massive difference in terms of display stability for us.

Nuke it from orbit and rebuild if everything else with the same policies is fine. It'll be quicker than troubleshooting!

Story time... We've had a member of staff leave under a bit of a cloud, initially they took their laptop with them and then left the country. It was unclear if/how we were going to get that device back and the HT asked me to do a wipe from Intune which clearly worked because the device was sat at the install screen when we eventually got it back via the estate agent selling their house! Anyway... As far as I can tell I've removed the device from Intune, from Autopilot and from Entra per the guidance documentation, but trying to reprovision it with a provisioning package from WCD fails immediately trying to re-enroll in Azure/Entra. We are no longer using autopilot for this particular make and model of laptop due to various difficulties. Anyone got a clue?

Our school that uses cards with Uniflow does not issue a pin at all and it's removed as an auth source in the tenancy settings - we set a card number as part of onboarding process. It can be done by CSV for bulk inductions. You can speak to Uniflow technical sales for a better overview of how it works.

I wonder if the difference here is that Classcharts rectified it within hours wheras Clyde appear to have taken almost a week to do anything?

Worth enquiring about City Fibre - they were offering dark fibre for around 6k a year per link to pretty anywhere in the same local area if you already have their internet connectivity. If you didn't have their internet service there was a construction charge to install. We linked a secondary and 2 primaries, one was about 800m away and the other 4km, no difference in price.

Is this a microsoft M365 tenancy? Most of the edu specialist retailers will be able to guide you through this. I've had previous good experiences with Millgate.

My gripe is that is really feels like it's designed for 1:1 devices not shared ones. I need Microsoft to understand that all policies and assigned apps need to be complete and available - including onedrive login and applicable sharepoint sync - before the student sees even the desktop like it was with GPO & mapped drives. Whatever MS need to do to achieve that.

That's a possibility. When we had to do it all the suppliers who would buy out wanted 3 or 5 years + whatever was on left on the contract they bought you out of. 3 years, plus the 18 months left on the original made the device leasing out of budget for us. A 5 years + 18 months contract put us in budget but at a longer contract duration than our financial rules will allow for so we weren't able to utilise it either way. Your mileage may vary.

Your best bet is on grounds of breach of contract on their part due to repeated missed SLAs. Problem is, unless there is a glaring loop hole like the one above you can exploit, you'll need to lawyer up. That, speaking as someone who has had to do it fairly recently, can be more expensive than just buying out.

I did this for an organization, not a school - big USB stick, Windows 7 backup and restore a fully built machine, Windows RE tools on the stick, boot it, enter RE, restore the image from the stick, rename and join to domain. I've since moved to Windows Config Designer which allows you to do all of the above and join to a domain. Also worth mentioning autopilot if you have the apropriate devices and Intune - only need to provide a windows image.

Been down all morning for us - sometimes it'll let you in, but not open/amend anything. Also been getting 500 errors in admin centre and slow send/delivery times for emails on all connection methods

I've had no success using WSUS to go more than 1 version up. I'd be seriously tempted to just nuke those machines from orbit and start again clean.

I'd be looking at Bodet for this. It will not be cheap, but it will be good.
