  1. The online config has the option to remove previous versions. https://config.office.com/deploymentsettings how you guys actually deploying this Via GPO? cheers
  2. Hi all, Just thought i'd retech out and ask if anybody can remember the name of the policy that removes the messages on the login screen if something is being update/installed. Not the app notifications, but more "Installing Adobe Reader" type messages. I can't find it as i don't know what the policy is called! Anybody know? I've tried a google image search also
  3. How do you guys deploy this? Does it support .MSI and are you using the network version? Thanks
  4. Just a quick question. Has anybody got a 2019 HYper-v based VM booting to fog via legacy adaptor?
  5. Thank for that link, like i say i'm Coming from FOG so totally new to WDS/MDT. Just used to being asked for a password if anything other than "boot from hard drive" was selected from the PXE menu. Thanks again, i'll do some more reading
  6. So is a student able to initiate a reimage just by press f12?
  7. This is just protects the clients from not being able to boot from nic. I've unplugged a staff pc in a classroom and just connected my laptop. I can get to the PXE menus/image.
  8. Hi Guys, I'm moving to WDS/MDT from FOG so i'm very very green here. I've managed to get wds to pxe my hyper-v Windows 10 vm, however with fog, if i selected anything on the menu it was password protected. With PXE/WDS i seem to be able to snoop around and even press f8 on the menu and run diskpart. Is there anyway i can protect the "F12" option. Maybe i'm totally over looking something here. I've not even looked at mdt yet. I'm currently capturing my "FAT Image" that i used on FOG. Thanks in advance
  9. I'm not getting anywhere with this..... Do you think the best bet is to put WDs and MDT on a single HYper-v VM and go from there? Get rid of Ubuntu/FOG I already have a "Golden Image" VM on hyper-v that is already syspreped. I assume i can just capture and deploy that then do the magic finetuning stuffs later on? I'm really Green to WDS/MDT anybody know if a decent guide that i could follow? Thanks in advance.
  10. I own 16.000.000 Shiba coins...... after a £100 investment.... its up 305.82% in 3 days to the moon!
  11. We have the latest version of Papercut installed using TYPE3 drivers, deployed via GPO. Unfortunately i was asked by powers that be to deploy the reg fix to get us up and running again
  12. Clients aren't uefi. we have fog setup like this..... it was fine until i borked the ubuntu install and had to rebuild it (oh the irony)
  13. Yes it does as well as the same name and MAC address. We are using Windows for DHCP. It getting an IP address All our physical machines can boot to the FOG screen fine. cheers
  14. Chrome browser already support this.... infact bromcom use it to display "new features". Its the same with Pathways and etimetabler needs integrating..... its quite frustrating
  15. iI got excited for a moment then...... But no go - - - Updated - - - Sorry i don't follow?
  16. I've tried various Kernals, gen1, legacy NIC. I'm stumped. No idea why it wont boot....... ALso tried a "ISO boot pxe" with the same result.
  17. Hi all...... I've been here before but can't remember what i did to fix it..... Short story is i've had to rebuild the Fog server today. Fog installed everything fine, Set a image definition in fog, fired up my Windows 10 VM (Image client). in hope to upload it to fog.... and it just hangs @ initialising device. Now i have been here before, but i can't find anything on here on my historical posts or via Google...... I'm sure it's something really really simple. Anybody kick me in the right direction? Legacy nic, non uefi. all the clients on site can boot to pxe fine, and upload a image. Just not my Hyper-v VM. I'm sure it's something to do with hyper-v Win10 1809 ltsc Server 2019 Help me edugeeks
  18. Being able to highlight all users in the Adobe panel and assigning to a group would be fine...... but you can't "select all" on sync'd users
  19. Thread Zombie, I know how to assign licences to groups....... i don't know how to assign users that have sync'd from Google Admin panel to a user group (which has an attached product to it). Having to add them one by one or via a csv everytime a student comes and goes isn't an option. Booking a 1:1 session is no good for me (or others that might have the same question and just want the answer). Surprisingly, we're all quite technically minded on here. So following instructions you should have on your website is something we find surprisingly easy. (Assuming we can find it) It should be easier than this....... Can you provide the link to this update please? thanks
  20. Ah yeah ok sorry i misunderstood you..... i thought you thought i'd installed a hacked driver to get it to work
  21. Not sure what you mean by "requiring a hacked driver to be installed on your print server" but yeah, allow non admin to install drivers and only allow our named server haven't updated removed or touched the drivers on the print server. Still the same type 3 drivers i was using pre any of this printnightmare stuffs
  22. I'm not even joking when i say, i could go to sleep under my desk for a week. this has been horrible. it isn't the end of it as we are "vulnerable" still and need a long term fix.
  23. Both actually, we have a follow me printing for staff (user) and room specific printers (Computers) we also use Papercut if that's of any use.
  24. I have the sept update and haven't had to do the ""RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled"=dword:00000000" reg "fix".
