Hi all, I know i can do this for the user if logged onto their account. Is there a way to do this via the Google admin panel, Google sync etc etc. We have a lot of distribution groups and some users need to be able to send as...... just looking to save some time making these changes ad hoc. cheers

Sophos for Virtual Environments is to be run on a hyper-v or similar to protect the VMs on that host (or cluster). It creates a VM. Mine doesn't disable any accounts in Google even if they are disabled in AD. They have to be removed from the monitored OU in AD for Google to disable them.

Not sure if this is in the right area. Had a support call today.... along the lines of "Hi i can't download or save anything to my area, says disk full. I have removed any files i no longer need and deleted files from my downloads folder. Can you help please? I first thought was wow! a full description of the issue and a please! Anyway i half expect the user to have misplaced a ripped divx movie they had put in their desktop folder.... File server resources report 99% quota usage. Whilst wild card searching their area all looked fine. When i unhid folders i discovered some "recycle bin" icons that were huge (equal to their 5gb quota). We don't have a recycle bin presented to the users as we have local profiles with folder redirection. If you delete it.... its gone (#backups shadow copies, different issue) My questions are why do i have these folders on my server, they must have come from redirected folders and how do i ensure they are either deleted or emptied. Hi Guys, Interested on hearing if anybody uses Google Workspace (I Think thats what it's called this week) and using Google SMTP service with bromcom. Bromcoms 3000 per month vs Google 10,000 emails. Seems a no brainer to go with Google. Anybody actually using this setup? Any "got yas" you're aware of that might be worth knowing? Am i right to assume that Google's SMTP server is NOT a user account, but a separate service configured via the admin panel on Google? Ta

Hi all, Bit of a back story. We're moving MIS and wanted to export some of the most commonly used reports. I can do this, however i seem to only be able to see "public" reports. I dont for a second think we only have public reports. I was under the impression that SIMs admins could "see" all reports, regardless if they are public or private. Am i missing something? cheers

Hi all, I have logged with with Bromcom development, but not had a reply yet. (5 days ago) Having a lot of problems with setting up AdHoc Reporting permissions for our users. Basically we're not getting the icons in the "Report Domains" section (image 3) for the staff to create their own reports. I have tried applying all the original BromCom (Image 1) created roles to a user and then tried applying all our new roles (image 2) created roles to a user to basically try and work out where the permissions lie - and we can't see anything. The only user that allows us to move on with AdHoc Reporting is Administrator (image 3). Hopefully this makes sense. Anybody have an idea on what i've missed?

Ah ok, we use Google here so it sync differently. When i setup the heartbeat, i had the same issue as you with authentication. Some of the users that had been manually had the local domain missing as in the above screenshot. to get it to work i had to use the internal domain (in our scenario). This seems to maybe be a limitation.

Make sure this is populated with your computer domain for all users that need authentication.

Were doing this...... however we currently have a Sophos XG device and we're using the mobile device web filtering product to filter the chromebooks

Hi all, just thought i'd ask here before going down the rabbit hole.... We have switch user enabled here, we also have a network app for our visualiser software. we'll call this cam.exe. userA has cam.exe open and switches user/locks their machine. userB logs on and wants to use cam.exe. They get a error message saying that cam.exe is already open and being used by another user. We have to remind users to close cam.exe when they no longer need it........ but you know...... users..... Anybody know of a way to close an app if a session is closed and/or locked? ta

cool concept, does this mean that all the data in the console isn't "live" data?

Won't the user need the network credentials to access this share, or does inventry allow anybody to connect? Cheers
