  1. Sorry yes those prices include the lease, cost per click and paper. I didn't calculate any of that BTW, i just enter the figures into papercut. Our Finance manager was curious what others are charging.
  2. Morning all, What are you charging your users for printing? In our last IT meeting, it was discussed that a number of departments have highlighted concerns with regards to the cost of printing. Admittedly, we have increased prices. But this is due to the fact we've taken on a new lease and well, everything has gone up in price. Our current cost per click cost to the school is: (Cheapest) Repro-----> ALL in ones ------> Mono Printers ------> Colour capable printers (Most expensive) our pricing to our users is as below is as below: Repro All in ones Colour capable printers Mono printers Cheers all
  3. This come with oem windows? Do you have a link?
  4. Our current spec is; 4/6 core intel (thinking maybe AMD next) 8gb ram (anybody running more than this?) 250gb ssd 21" screen anti tamper case/stand 5 years warranty i think the above spec should be ok for 5 years, unless anybody has any input. Think anymore than 8gb might be overkill? We're currently a 100% Stone PC site and have been extremely happy with them, their support and failure rates. (4 in 7 years all different issues resolved next day). We have no reason to leave them, but of course we have to do a tender for the next phase to ensure best value. About 40% of the site isn't 11 compatible but not looking to jump to win11 just yet. What are your thoughts

    Seat belts

In my VW aircooled days, i had a friend that fitted a roll cage and harnesses to his 50s beetle. i'm sure it didn't even have lap belts in the front..... the 2 point ones that snap you in half in a crash.... although classic beetle's are known to be made from tinfoil...... the "cage" even protected the petrol tank..... that is at the front of the car in its "crumple zone".... sure belts became law in 1983 on "new" cars Mrs Jaan asked i never put the kids in any classic cars. I've always worn a seatbelt (when fitted)..... it feels very unnatural being in a car without a seat belt. think i've only experienced that twice! not fun
  6. your a star. i missed the "add" part cheers
  7. We have a user; [email protected] and a no reply group; [email protected] I can go to the user directly and do the whole "add a send as address" in their Gmail settings with them..... can i not do this transparently via GAM? I've tried the below but it doesn't see gam user [email protected] sendas [email protected] "[email protected]" can anybody advise? cheers
  8. Since we've been back from half term users are being timed out and having to log back more frequently. Also noticed that we're getting lots and lots of Bromcom "Services status" alerts since our return. We use Google SSO. Anybody else experiencing this?
  9. Anybody else having issues with Impero? First impressions aren't good, i've been waiting a month now for the details to get Education Pro installed. I have also sent requests for self install documentation and links etc as they say it's a busy time for them......hence why i'm happy to self install and not have to go down a team call to have my hand held. I've emailed and also booked multiple jobs on the portal..... i even received an email from their "Credit Control" team saying we haven't paid! i explained we haven't received Education Pro yet so that needs sorting before we'll be paying....... they said they would directly contact our account manager to get that resolved........that was a week ago tomorrow.........

  12. i had to force the language Pack for it to install: msiexec.exe /i "SecureClientInstaller 12.33.101.048.msi" ProductLanguage="1033" ALLUSERS=1 /qn /norestart /log output.log
  13. I'm installing v12.33.101.048 via GPO and i'm getting a failed install. Language is null or ignored if i select to ignore it to try and fix the issue. Anybody else had this? I don't normally have issues with it installing. My PDQ attempt also fails
  14. We've just been through this here, you 'll have to make them a "manager" of the shared drive for the to be able to move folders from their my drive to the shared drive location...... then remove that permission as it has other implications (in my opinion). I told them to organise everything that should be in a shared drive into a folder into one folder in their my drive. Then it can be moved in one process...... would be nice if Google added the ability for content managers to move folders! edit: you'll also have to ensure the shared drive allows "non members to access" otherwise it will strip permissions to members only. Hope that helps
  15. Ok a bit of history, We're a Google site not a 365 site, staff don't have 365 accounts created for them. However, many moons ago it was discovered that lots of staff had managed to register their Google email addresses against our 365 tenant. All services are disabled for those that have managed to do this. We had to "claim" and prove ownership of our domain in 365 admin to enforce these restrictions on the accounts. The restriction was put in place and services disabled as staff were using 365 apps and were storing data there. It was a "No you should be using Google where it can be managed and controlled efficiently", awesome, one less job for me...... However, we'd had a couple of scenarios now where staff have been granted "access" to 3rd party systems or onedrives shared from other schools. These systems require you to login in with a microsoft account which is blocked by our settings....... One email exchange from a supplier was "Can you create an account for user X in your Microsoft tenet please" I explained they dont/shouldn't be using Microsoft's accounts. They explain that i could just enable microsoft authentication against the email address (Gmail) that they have setup on their end...... i asked if they support other "SSO" methods such as Google, They said no, their platform doesn't support it. We've also had a staff member today say they have tried to access a onedrive share from school X, but it wont allow her to log in with her (Gmail) email address. She has confirmed school X has added her email to the share.... I assume our restriction is blocking this. Can you 365 Admins explain what they are referring to... as it doesn't make much sense to me. Can i enable authentication so they can access/use a platform without granting them access to the Microsoft accounts directly........ i'm not even sure that makes sense in my own head now!
  16. Does this help? not sure if the client ID is the same for the web version https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/error-400-when-trying-to-add-a-gmail-account-to-my/6c937be6-f6b0-4d21-965c-c4aaecf9b4d7
  17. It will most likely be microsoft. That drop down defo not working? cookies, browsing history clearing.... incognito mode? that would give you the client ID to enter.
  18. try searching for the name of the app instead of Client Id. Also think you have to click the text not the arrow for it to drop down........ or is it the other way round
  19. Security ---- API controls ---- App access control add app "oauth App Name or Client ID you should see the client ID in the error you get.
  20. OMG! my scroll bar wasn't rendering on that page! i only see 3 options until i scroll! I feel Sooooooooo stupid! I'm now going have update my Google job with "i stupid, i didn't scroll" Thanks so Much jthompson!
  21. Hi all, after some advice from those who are using Google and able to do this. Basically we're getting some spam emails that don't have an email subject. Gmail displays this as "(NO SUBJECT)" in the users inbox. We also have a number of staff members that can't be bothered to use the subject field. The staff here have recently had cyber security training and one of the "things to look for" was the lack of an email subject.......... So i've been asked by the power that be to just block/reject emails without a subject. I thought this would be simple. In the Google admin panel --- apps --- Google Workspace --- Settings for Gmail --- Compliance --- Content compliance I can attempt to create an "advanced content match" rule for "Location" -- "Subject". However, if i leave the field blank, its says it can't be left empty..... if i add "(NO SUBJECT)" it will only block emails with the actual email subject of "(NO SUBJECT)" not those that are empty. Anybody have some input on how to do this? I have raised a support request with Google...... i'm on day 4, and at the moment they just said i need to create a rule in the above location......... well yeah....... so i'm getting nowhere at the moment with them. Thanks in advance.
  22. at the risk of sounding stupid....... i know nothing about trees. can it be grafted..... or another method to try and save something....... even if it had an "ugly" knot at the bottom at least there would be something. just such a shame to think its gone forever!
  23. Would Google vault not do this for you? edit 2: sorry this is the right link https://services.google.com/fh/files/misc/gsuite_dsr_customer_guide.pdf
