Dell r210 II Xeon Cpu 8Gb Ram raid 1 250gb (spinning rust) At the end of our it rolling plan, just thought i'd ask here if anybody can make use of it otherwise its going in wee waste. We used it as a dedicated physical domain controller. Free, no warranty, support implied or given. Collection from BL1 area in Bolton Must go to educational establishment, not an individual for personal use. cheers

I'm finding a couple of things like that, the new "widget" icon on the taskbar seems to be another i can't remove via gpo, i guess it's the same thing we had with windows 10 though i guess.
-
Just starting to play with 11 here. I can't seem to find a gpo to expand or also show all systray icons..... Anybody point me in the right direction? cheers

Anybody else had this? Sophos is isolating devices that attempt run the WJEC secure client. We had this last year and reported the false positive to sophos and WJEC. I didn't put an exception in as i do that as a last resort..... i just assumed SOPHOS/WJEC would have followed it up Kicking myself really, anyway i've added a exception now, but we had a secondary issue where the devices that were isolated couldn't communicate back to central..........to get the exception....... so we had to unisolate manually... #YAYFRIDAY

Update on this. removing --silent from the MSI install allows it to install fine! (as does using the .exe install with --Silent) so thanks bknaggs for the push in the right direction. With regards to the repair needed to be done, still needs doing on the .msi install method. I noticed that the Cc desktop app is an older version (5.5) of what should have been installed (6.x) and even after the repair. Turns out that's because we're running LTSC 1809. In our test lab, its LTSC 2021 so worked fine and installed 6.x. from Adobe: *We no longer support older LTSC versions. If you are using an older operating system, the relevant version of the Creative Cloud desktop app applicable to your respective platform and operating system will install. Thanks guys for the input. Just needs another set of eyes sometimes!

When doing this, it installed the CC desktop app version 5.x instead of 6.1.x for some reason, it also needs repairing, but works fine after that. Adobe support say it should be the .MSI as it has config elements from when the package was created in Adobe Control panel. Although, you've just brought something to my attention. i still have the --silent parameter set on the .MSI i'll remove it and try again as the MSI install is silent anyway. Standby......

Hi all, Anybody using PDQ and using it to deploy CC Desktop app. I can't get the .MSI to deploy. it just times out. I've got include entire Directory ticked. Strange thing is, if i deploy using the .exe it does deploy. But the CC desktop app needs "repairing". Adobe say i should be deploying the .MSI not the .exe how are you guys doing it? Cheers

I think this started happened after a Firmware update. Its a TS-870 on version 4.3.6.2665 I can ping it, see it in qfinder, change network settings via ssh or qfinder etc etc.... however i can't access the drives all health is ok...... when trying to access it via web browser, it just sticks on the loading screen. I've try to update the fw again manually qfinder, no change..... tried the below; mv /etc/config/.qos_config /etc/config/.qos_config.old /etc/init.d/thttpd.sh restart no change anybody had this issue? Anybody tried a fw downgrade on a qnap? ta

I finally did this update this week /forums/windows-server-2022/236816-ive-inplace-updated-my-s2d-cluster-2019-2022-a.html#post2027267

Hi all, Following from this thread Anybody updated their s2d cluster yet, asking for a friend...... I put this off for a year but performed this update this week (during production hours!). We have a 3 node s2d cluster. Basically did the below; Backed up all the nodes before anything (we have a veeam job for this) 1) Did "Disk cleanup" on all nodes 2) Drained node 1 3) Evicted node 1 from cluster 4) Did a in place update to 2022 on node 1(couple of restarts) 5) Added back to cluster once updated 6) Waited for storage health to sync/update and become healthy 7) repeat above for remaining nodes 8) once all running 2022 and storage was healthy update the cluster functional level once happy I followed the below video which is for server 2019 but is the same. Hope that helps others looking to do this. I did this during the day and didn't have a loss of service.

To be fair i totally agree with this. They do get it Wrong sometimes, and clear communication when things "go wrong" can be lacking. That being said i could NEVER go back to SIMs. The difference in features and manageability ability is Day and Night. This issue with expanding a customer base so fast mean so do the number of pitchforks!

Well when we signed up to Bromcom, they said that they constantly invest in the scalability of their cloud compute infrastructure. So when they add all 1079 of them to their system, the rest of us won't even notice...............

Lol its for the ID cards..... just a chair against a grey background (pin board) it's not event in that location anymore as we a a "metal wardrobe" there!

Here's ours, i'm very happy with it. Has made sooooooo much difference to our ( team of 3 ) mental health! We were very lucky, the old "office" was needed as part of creating a new classroom....... .....We had a new office built for us as part of the movement deal..... dedicated office area and work area. I'd take pics but we're having alittle ceil work done at the moment (led lighting) and somebody is reviewing CCTV

But we have been here before.... sort-your-service-status-page-out read the whole thread it has its plus points also. not just a pitch fork post.

We had no notification of this. A member of the school office admin said they weren't receiving emails from a number of parents. We did a email log search in Google admin panel and it said "sent for moderation". Looking in Google groups at the public facing email group, we could see 20 ish emails pending moderation, all from outlook.com. Non of them were suspicious. But google had marked as "potential spam". Anybody else had this on their external Google email groups?

Hi all, We've started to look at moving over to Server 2022 and Windows 11. At the moment we're running Windows 10 (1809 LTSC/2021 LTSC) and Server 2019 I wanted to ad some WMI filters to aid in testing GPOs and just wanted to ask how others are doing WMI filters. I've never used the "Caption" option before. in the past i've also used something like: SELECT Version FROM Win32_OperatingSystem WHERE Version LIKE “6.0%” Where it queries the windows "version". From what i understand, windows 10 and windows 11 share the same version number (yay MS) so this method won't work. I have the below, but not sure if they would work. Anybody else using this caption method? Windows 10 WMI SELECT Version FROM Win32_OperatingSystem where ((Caption like '%10%') and (ProductType='1')) Windows 11 WMI SELECT Version FROM Win32_OperatingSystem where ((Caption like '%11%') and (ProductType='1')) Server 2019 WMI SELECT Version FROM Win32_OperatingSystem where ((Caption like '%2019%') and (ProductType='1')) Server 2022 WMI SELECT Version FROM Win32_OperatingSystem where ((Caption like '%2022%') and (ProductType='1')) Cheers all
