1. Got one of these today, from a new member that joined yesterday in the early hours with zero posts. Can't bee 100% sure but might be a spam account. where do i make admins aware for them to take a look. Dont want to name the account incase i'm totally wrong. Cheers
2. We have Verkada on test at the moment. 2 indoor cams and fish eye cam and vape sensor. Really impressed with it at the mo.
3. Could you share a screenshot of the rule you have in place in Central please? Is it a path or process expectation you've added? cheers
4. We just updated wjec today..... exams taking place...... they all start closing mid exam........ we get this from Sophos....... Sophos Central Event Details for X School What happened: We detected ransomware trying to encrypt files. Where it happened: G31-17 Path: C:\Users\Public\Surpass\SecureClient_WJEC\Surpass Secure Client.exe What was detected: CryptoGuard User associated with device: User name How severe it is: High
5. Our users don't have Microsoft accounts, we are a Google school. I've always liked to look of the Power BI stuff and think it would be useful here. What are our options to start using this? IT do have Microsoft accounts due to our licensing requirements. Thanks in Advance
6. Sorted thanks all, went with this; @echo on cd\ C: echo n | gpupdate /target:user /force /wait:60 echo n | gpupdate /target:computer /force /wait:60 exit
7. I wanted to batch file to auto select N for both prompts (so the end user doesn't have to) then close. I'm nursing a issue were some of the printers aren't deploying. Running gpupdate /force fixes the issue. If i can tell the end user to "click the Fix printers icon to resolve the issue" that would be great. Otherwise its "can you click the Fix printers icon then once its finished, type N on do you want to restart prompt, then type N again on the do you want to log off then click anykey to close it....... I can then concentrate on the actual issue At the end of the screenshot above, it displays the two prompts on the bottom line instead of automatically selecting N for the user on both accounts. EDIT: where do i need to add the other echo you mentioned for the second prompt? Cheers
8. Long story short.... I just want to manunally run GPUPDATE /force and have the promts to restart and log off to select N and then press any key to close after completion. Here's what i have: @echo on cd\ C: echo n | gpupdate /force /wait:60 pause exit where's what i get on the client machine: If i change it to: @echo on cd\ C: echo y | gpupdate /force /wait:60 pause exit it works fine but restarts the computer which i dont want. Any ideas?
9. Our Day to tasks are done on the Physical PCs as we are primarily a Google Site and use a lot of Cloud based stuffs. Our Tech VMs that are domain connected. From the Vms we remote into the specific servers to do tasks if/when needed. We have to authenticate against our Tech vms With domain admin credentials. We dont access LAN resources from our physical PCs, we download to our physical PCs and copy Paste via the Remote desktop Session. We don't UNC into network resources etc. I'm sure there's a better way, but like the OP, we felt like we needed to do something different. hope that helps EDIT: we have RSAT on the Tech VMs also EDIT2: We also use ultrawides which helps
10. Here we have non domain physical PCs with local accounts only. They have their C:/ bitlocked and have the enterprise sophos av,firewall rules etc etc. We remote into Domain tech vms we each have from the cluster as and when we need.
11. Thanks for this.... yeah this is what i want to do. Create a new zone on the xg and drop the CCTV onto that... the reason a wanted the PC with two nics, is that if i want to access footage from the cameras (camera based storage) instead of going out to the WAN and back in on the DMZ, the CCTV PC can just directly access the CAMs internally and pull footage.....
12. I'll draw a pretty picture if needed....However..... I have a Sophos XG With WAN/LAN/DMZ I have CCTV PC with two physical NICs, NIC#1 LAN & NIC#2 CCTV(DMZ). We have a physically different CCTV infrastructure not connected to the LAN infrastructure. I have a CCTV CAM connected to DMZ, Goes to the internet etc etc If i connect the CCTV PC's NIC#1 to our LAN, and the NIC#2 to our CCTV (DMZ)....... Will a PC act as a bridge/router/gateway between networks and be a security issue to the LAN if the DMZ is compromised? I feel like there should be something in Windows Firewall that i need to do. Any thoughts?
13. We us Google slides after moving away from Xibo...... Staff has edit access where needed. They get nagged not us if something is out of date. We just check the tech is working!
14. The HP aren't up to date as we have 3rd party sfp modules that defo brick when we run newer firmware........ That being said the edges are being replaced, so i guess i'll worry about it if it continues after that. FS switches are fully up to date. If i unplug the links i'll to access to that edge so can't do that at the mo as very in production. I guess wireshark might give answers... once i figure it out
15. Each port is connected to an edge access switch. With each core port being connected to the edges via LAGG
16. Any thoughts.... i'm not having any network issues as such..... just lots of these errors in the logs
17. I'm getting a lot of these on my core switch logs: *May 10 14:36:56: %LLDP-4-AGEOUTREM: Port TenGigabitEthernet 1/0/5 one neighbor aged out, Chassis ID is 0.0.0.0, Port ID is 805e.c098.467d. *May 10 14:33:55: %LLDP-4-CREATEREM: Port TenGigabitEthernet 1/0/5 created one new neighbor, Chassis ID is 0.0.0.0, Port ID is 805e.c098.467d. *May 10 14:25:07: %LLDP-4-TOOMANYREM: Failed to create new neighbor for the neighbor number on Port TenGigabitEthernet 2/0/10 reached max 5. *May 10 14:18:02: %LLDP-4-TOOMANYREM: Failed to create new neighbor for the neighbor number on Port TenGigabitEthernet 2/0/14 reached max 5. *May 10 14:16:52: %LLDP-4-CREATEREM: Port TenGigabitEthernet 1/0/12 created one new neighbor, Chassis ID is 54b2.0371.27b9, Port ID is 54b2.0371.27b9. *May 10 14:15:37: %LLDP-4-AGEOUTREM: Port TenGigabitEthernet 1/0/12 one neighbor aged out, Chassis ID is b4a9.fc89.2e27, Port ID is b4a9.fc89.2e27. *May 10 14:15:05: %LLDP-4-CREATEREM: Port TenGigabitEthernet 2/0/14 created one new neighbor, Chassis ID is 54b2.0371.281c, Port ID is 54b2.0371.281c. *May 10 14:14:28: %LLDP-4-AGEOUTREM: Port TenGigabitEthernet 2/0/14 one neighbor aged out, Chassis ID is f4b5.201d.d318, Port ID is f4b5.201d.d318. MACs relate to client MOBOs We use LLDP/med on the access/edge switches to drop the voip phone onto another vlan. Thought the only neighbours on my core should be edge switches from the AGG link from edge to core. any thoughts?
18. Latest update: At 2023-05-08 18:56 UTC (just now): We were able to resolve this issue on the backend and GCDS is no longer receiving errors when assigning licenses. You may use the steps below to revert the GCDS config file back to the default attribute values: 1. Locate the XML config file used by GCDS 2. Open the XML file with a text editor of your choice and find the maxResults attribute 3. Change the value back to 500. It should look like this: 500 4. Save your changes in the XML config file 5. Simulate a sync first in GCDS and review the results 6. There should no longer be any license assignment errors in the logs. Once you've confirmed this, then it is okay to Sync & Apply Changes
19. I Love this place
20. Yep here's the work around: EDIT: just edit your Google settings config file. They are aware of the issue. Hello Jaan, I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you for our recent update regarding GCDS Licence Sync issue. We are already aware about this known issue and it is actively being looked at by the engineering team on high priority. Meanwhile from the product engineer team we received a workaround to resolve this issue, Please open the XML file in Notepad and reduce the maxResult tag value from 500 to 190 and save the XML. For example : 190 Once this is done, please open the XML file in the GCDS configuration manager and run a simulate sync and then check the results. There should be no license assignment failures. Let me know if the provided workaround works for you. Sincerely, kiran Google Workspace Support
