As for your tablet question, Dell used to do something you describe but personally I find tablets to be a pain in the arse. I have a few surface pros about and they are forever developing niggling issues and cost a fortune when someone looses a pen or drops one.

Vote for Kaspersky here. I tried Sophos a year ago but found a few of the things it did a backwards step from KAV. The main downside of Kaspersky is they take AGES to bring out updated versions for new versions of Windows. About 7-8 months is the norm.

Just noticed (yes I know its Saturday night), it creates a programs folder on user login. I thought about redirecting that to a folder for useful links but everytime it starts, makes the programs folder which looks untidy

Can anyone help me get rid of this please? The programs folder over the documents is fine and is set in classic shell's group policy but I dont seem to be able to get rid of the top programs folder. It was attached to the redirected start folder but that policy is no longer set and want it to vanish but can not find anything to get rid of. Thanks

Has anyone found a way to stop it creating links in programs such as system tools? I can get it to redirect as I want but keeps creating folders I dont want users to have but it makes them in the users appdata folder. Pretty annoying.

I have moved to critical and security only. In MDT you can set it to install updates during the build. Also you can inject updates into the WIM you are deploying using DISM and WSUS Offline.

Can anyone recommend a company who provide bespoke IT support? For years I have worked closely with a local company but recently they have started pushing their annual support packages more and more and I'm getting a little fed up with it. I dont need much external support but like the idea of a company with MS trained engineers I can call if something major breaks and needs immediate attention like a domain controller or exchange failing one morning. Someone who can say, we have taken a look and that will be X amount of hours at this rate to do. Does such a place exist or will everywhere push a support package? Microsoft and VMWare is preferable to my situation. Thanks all.

So do you have the "DsktpEdu ALNG LicSAPk OLV 1Y Acdmc Ent"? My understanding is you need the CALs to cover what you said but am getting conflicting info saying its included in the DsktpEdu ALNG.... so confused. Its a couple of grand difference so need to be sure.

Hello, For the first time in a few years I am putting my MS quote out to multiple sources and the question of CoreCAL's has come up. We have had them in the past and assumed you need them to cover the end users connecting to exchange, sql etc however one company is adamant we don't need them. We use FTE and wonder if anyone can advise me with a yes or no? I assume you need them on your licence. Although "give us a call and we will help" sales people are useful, I am really hoping I can get a clear yes or no on the forum from experience where possible. Thanks

Afternoon all, I inherited an old Moodle VLE and have little idea how to use it over the odd user permission. Anyway we are shutting it off in summer with a move to Google Classroom planned. A few staff want to pull documents from it and expected the files would be found in a folder within the server somewhere but that does not appear to be the case. Is there an easy way to download all the files from each module somehow or will we have to download each item one by one? Thanks
