Im on 5.5 and plan on upgrading it when we do our servers early next year. Its been rock solid for the past 5 years so not worried. I did try to upgrade once but some SQL update failed and I lost the will to care anymore. Will sneek the price of the upgrade in with the server installation and setup.

Loving Google hangouts at the moment. Would guess as a school you would be best using 365 or Google if you have either setup.

Does anyone know how to setup crestron control in any shape or form? We have Casio projectors which we love but would love to centrally control the things (mass power down, emergency messages etc...) and as far as I can see you can achieve this if only you have the fabled Crestron controller setup but how and where you obtain eludes me. Because I bought 70 projectors I had a call from Casio asking what I would like included in future models and they seem almost knocked back when I said integrated Chromecast or AirPlay as their response was (as you guess) why not use Crestron? Been meaning to ask this for years but just stumbled upon the Crestron page on Casio and thought now the time to ask. Anyone know? Thanks

You can always set policies on network storage servers to remove certain file types like video or music should you wish.

but if I point MX records to gmail then how would email find its way to my exchange server? Say I just want to migrate 1 user to gmail but keep the rest onsite, how would that all work?

I'm playing around with the idea of moving to gmail and have a question. I plan on doing the change slowly so running both side by side for some time. Once the Google migration tool has run, does it automatically set the mailbox to forward to gmail or is their additional settings to perform? Do I need to add send connectors? This is the bit which confuses me as I have never really messed with much exchange myself. Thank you

Can you double check it's enrolled? Sounds to me like someone signed into it before it was enrolled.

Found Meraki to be cheaper than the others in the end. Will never go back to fannying about with zone directors.

I use a company called Peasoup. Found very good service and pricing.

You go out and you put Meraki in. No arguments. Replaced Ruckus with Meraki over the summer and didnt know wireless could work so easily.

Did you have any luck getting this working? I'm putting off changing from Creo 2 until the idiots give us a silent install method.

Good morning, I use a paid for AV and earlier in the year we had a nasty outbreak which caused a real headache for us. As my AV didn't seem to know what was going on so I bought a site licence of Malwarebytes which now sits alongside the AV (and cured my issue in an afternoon). I keep wondering if Malwarebytes alongside Windows Defender would be a fine solution. My AV is well respected however I find it a pig to manage and appears to cause endless slowdown on staff laptops where my home experience of Defender is positive. I'm aware Defender does not come out all that high which is why I would keep Malwarebytes (very impressed with that) however I like it's lightweight approach. Looking for opinions from those who are using Defender on site. Personally I think it will be fine as long as MWB stays. Thanks all

thanks all. Just been screwed over with my install. Apparently supply and install means they will screw them to the ceiling but not set the system up so looks like its up to me. (surprisingly Huge education company). Time to get my tech on!

I tested out the AP Meraki gives out for attending their talks and seems easy enough but to those who have it, would you set it up from scratch yourself or are there lots of "gotcha's" to look out for and I am better off getting a pro in? My setup is a handful of VLANS, one each for staff, students and guest. I'm told its not that hard. Thoughts please? Ta

Just been digging deeper and it only happens to me with mandatory profiles set. I switched the user to roaming and it used the same OST every time. I would prefer to use roaming but then of course you loose all the Windows 10 start... Exchange 2013 (installed most recent CU last night). Office 2016 x64 (installed latest service pack today to rule that out) Windows 10 LTSB 2016 Why do they make this as had as they can?
