I think you'll find that a lot of big places don't employ people under 16 for insurance reasons. Try smaller shops. Might even be worth asking if you can help your school it department over the summer hols. It will however mostly be boring stuff, like unboxing PCs.

I was a sticker upper at 14, before that I extorted money from my parents for washing there cars. A sticker upper's job is to stand at the end of a skittle allwy and pick the skittles up after after someone has knocked them over. Round our way I think they earn about £12 a match for about 2 hours work, it is hard work however.

I've got a problem with a smartcache 2 we've been given by SWGFL. When I look through the logs it reports truncated station names. It can go from having only the last caracture of the station name missing to only reporting the first letter. I've tested it with a clean machine and manualy installing the client and it even misbehaves when logged in as administrator. RM's suport felt it was a problem with incorrect information in the registry, but despite me asking exactly what information the registry should hold they won't tell me. I was given the following instructions to test the client, but they bomb at step 6. I'm about to recreate the RM laptop game using our smart cache. If I do I'll post it on you tube.

I did escience ages ago. I used to ghost to package it since that what we were using at the time. The full install couldn't be packaged, mainly becuase it's massive. The client seems to work resonably well as a package as is quite small. I have however had it break for no apparent reason a few times. When you installk the software it will prompt you to install Jave (and something else) make sure you don't do this if you're packing it. Another thing I've found is that if you're using it in client/server mode it won't work with Java version 6 (it might be possible by altering security settings) so I had to keep our science department on Java 5. Horrible software especialy since all it seems to do is provide a list of documents, something you could do with a really robust web based interface.

Ours is in a tipee in the middle of the field. Causes no end of trouble with the fibre when they have the grass cut.

I'd start by checking it for Viruses and Spy Ware. If not it'll probably be a fault with a program that runs constantly in the background, maybe printer monitoring or some sort of toolbar/desktop enhansment. EDIT: It could also be System Update Server, make sure it's getting and applying it's updates.

Cli is much easier to automate. If you can do some with cli your often only one step from people able to repeat what you've done on as many computers as you want. The same can't be said for GUI.
