Any reason why to don't just disable try icons for students? Cuts down on loads of things that are fun to fiddle with.

The HP dc7800 (like the one pictured above) doesn't have a PCI slot, it even uses laptop hard drives and memory and has an external PSU.

Looks good, bare in mind the ML350 is being withdrawn so you'll have to get one while you still can. I would consider trying to get some more Data drives so you can use RAID 5 which is more efficient with disk space.

Quite a lot of HP's projectors were actualy rebadged Sanyos. We found out VP61XXs and VP62XXs were getting very flakey and also the cost of bulbs was stupid. Another real frustration was the bulbs from the two models were identical except for the face they'd been delibrately engineered not to be interchangable. We've been replacing them with Toshibas, mostley T95s which luckily has the same throw as the out going HPs, and will fit the same cradle. In a few situations we've got away with the cheaper X2000. We also have quite a few NECs, which seem to be reliable, I can only recall having to send a couple back, and we've probably got about 30. We only have two Hitachis, one hasn't come into use yet, the other is probably a good 4 years old and doesn't give any trouble, but then I'm not confident it gets used much.

Nope, I just want to see this resolved as soon as possible. Last year I got the back pay in my December (which arrived on Xmas Eve) pay packet. If it's any later Christmas will be canceled, no presents for anyone, no cards, no decorations, no traveling to see my relatives (some of which are in their 80s and might not even be there by next Christmas). It's rediculous that we don't get an agreement on pay till several months after we should be receiving it.

You can set sims to athenticate using the username of the current user instead of it's own user name a password. I think you have to altersomething in the local connect.ini. and also your AD and SIMS usernames have to match.

We're considering them for our sixth which we're hoping to revamp next year. DO you have any issues using them with a non RM network?

We have loads of ultra slim HP dc7600 & dc 7700, been very good, only problem is the support is a bit automated. Just unboxed a new dc7800, much smaller, and very nice looking. Shame though it has an external power brick and is only available with widescreen monitors (will have to have a different PC to use on the whiteboard). The biggest difference it's made to us is we can build IT rooms with 60mm benching instead of 90mm. Makes the rooms feel a lot bigger while giving us rooms for more computers. We've got one of the first batch of Viglen's Omnino 3, due to land in August. My boss was very impressed when he saw them at BETT.

Lucky git, I saw them a good few years back supporting Radiohead at South Park in Oxford.
