  1. Is this a perminant change and what will we see the rest of the year. Will we have GeoffCam?
  2. But at least your taking it on the chin and not blaiming it one someone/thing else.
  3. It's even more impressive in the flesh.
  4. I've been to Neos and did their active directory course. I was trained by Alan, he seamed very switched on and clearly has a very strong understanding of what he was teaching.
  5. Are they using USB pens, could be something on there. It's not somthing completly stupid like they're pushing the keyboards against the power buttons.
  6. That combined with my idea could have interesting results.
  7. Are we merging with a fetish forum? Will we be called EduSpank?
  8. Big change??? Are we finaly moving over to an OS2 friendly front end?
  9. I think this could be counter productive. I wouldn't send my child to a school that was using these measures.
  10. We managed to book train ticket for last week and had to get them changed. It's Vegas's fault.
  11. Excellent, we've just had Action Aid tell us they're not longer interested because they can't refill HP3600 carts. These guys seem to want them.
  12. The trouble is uninstalling and reinstalling with the standalone version doesn't nuke the config files. I've now found where to have a fiddle C:\Program Files\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Config\iconn.cfg With hindsight removing the program directory after reinstalling would have done it, but I'd assumed the settings were buried in the the registry so I didn't try it.
  13. Take a packed lunch.
  14. Hiya, I've got a laptop with Sophos on that has been removed from our domain after having sophos installed on. The Sophos settings on the laptop are grayed out so I can't change them, how do I get access to them?
  15. I'd have though this would work, PSEXEC lets you specify which user account to use. However I'd expect if you change a computers SID you'll then have to rejoin whichever domain it's attached to.
  16. Anything is good providing it's not one of these silly pizza's fashionable pizzas with white sauce instead of tomatoe and cheese. Spicy is good. Who's getting the Peroni's in?
  17. If it's a smartboard, you can get a bluetooth module for them. However they're about £160. http://downloads.smarttech.com/media/products/sb6/specs/pdf/english/specswc6.pdf Insight UK - SMART WC6-UK Wireless Bluetooth Connection for S...
  18. Tiny bit here but we're in. The forcast says -5 tonight, so fingers crossed.
  19. You try marketing AOL to dolphins. Firstly they just want to p*** about in the sea all day. Then you've got the whole computers and water issue, and anyway how do you use a keyboard when you have flippers. I'm off to live in the ocean, anyone got any pointers about how to avoid sharks and digest raw fish. Plus I'm not entirely confident about breathing underwater either. I might have a test run in my bath tub later.
  20. I don't know much more, but I'm under the impression that terminal services in 2008 can make individual applications available instead of the whole desktop. Kinda like X2 or Citrix. But I don't know for certain, I havn't had a chance to play with it.
  21. Erm, my knowledge of server 2008 mostly comes from a chappy from MS telling me how uber it is so there's probably a good reason why this won't work. Could you use 2008's application publishing to make the manager available on your XP desktop.
  22. You're assuming there is no other form of intelligent life.
  23. When they're the last person on earth.
  24. Good news everybody. The Dacia ,,,,,, oh cock, we're talking about biscuits arn't we.
