I think the only resources you'll be able to open are word documents. EDIT: I'm not 100% sure, I was trying to block it out.

Ghost 7.5 hangs at "dumping mft table file"
K.C.Leblanc replied to sakwoya's topic in O/S Deployment
It is, just a shame you can't (well I can't anyway) make it work with Ghost 7's PEX boot. -
It does work, however you'll have to unregister it and reregister it if you move escience. I copied it to C:\windows\system and then registered it.

There's quite a lot of help information built into it. Point your web browser at https://[ip of smartcache] tell IE you're not bothered about the certificate error. Log in and click the big green question mark.

I had a mysterious thing like this with ghost (I was so convinced I replaced the PCs hard drive). It turned out to be an issue with the universal PXE driver. I've found NetBootDisk.com - The Universal TCP/IP Network Bootdisk for M$ Networks is pretty bomb proof with ghost 7. -
What model is the board? Has the PC ever worked with a Smartboard?

The trouble is you never know, this car didn't look suspicious. http://nedgibbons.com/ocuk/Omagh_imminent.jpg

Bare in mind you've got to allow for some idiot trying to take it out doors. Do you have any steep disabled ramps? We have a 32 laptop trolly, and we ended up coming to the conclusion that NO ONE was allowed to move it. How big are the trollies and are you planning to let students move then?

But he could assign it to machines, and then it wouldn't work. Which would explain his problem.
-
Is the policy assigned to users of to machines?

I havn't used SYSPREP for years (I'm a newsid man these days), but I think it copies the profile you're usign when you set it up over the default user profile. The easiest bodge would be to use 'Regshot' to discover the exact reg key that's changed when you disable show hidden files and the use the reg write command in your log on scripts.

Probably everyone loling at the bloke with the silver hair. -
Make sure you spec the 2510G-48 (I assume there's also a 24 port version), the normal 2510 only has gigabit on the uplinks. I'd avoid the 1810, if it's like the old 1800. Although it's managed it doesn't have the standard ProCurve interface, it also can't be configured from ProCurve manager.

I know one school who have a wall mounted projector. It's mounted about 9 foot off the ground and about the same distance back as a normal ceiling mounted projector. The projector's keystone sorts it all out. They actualy did it because their hall is listed and they can't attach anything to the roof.

Don't tell women you have 6 external I.P. addresses, they won't be impressed.

He might find it easier just to get it resprayed brown. If he just asks at the motor factors for something for a BL Ambasador he should be fine.
