Well, there's some good ideas coming up, but being the owner of a 96 disco 300 tdi I have a little trick under my sleeve . So, with an EDC you need to find your positive feed on your loom. Extend this and put a switch under the drivers side dash (inside the drop-down if you like). You could also do this with the fuel solenoid. Once switched off, the damn thing won't even start. And if you really like to tinker, you could put a cut-off on the fuel lift pump, but that can be a ball ache to get to. I have also seen the big motorbike locks pinned to concrete driveways and the chain wrapped around the rear axle. None of this will stop them stripping it of doors or hoods, but it will keep your LR pretty safe. The problem with a battery cut-off is that any primary alarm/immobiliser will cease to function. DT

Wales Football Manager Gary Speed Has Died, Aged 42 [Apparently Suicide]

This barely even makes the news anymore.... sad really to know that the guys protecting this country in foreign fields barely even get a mention. I guess that's just the media groups for you, they only want juicy gossip. -

Here here. You know the good things about forums like this are often unappreciated; the variety of people, experience and knowledge. It's an open forum, you're all entitled to your opinion whatever that may be. Neg repping - pettyness. (-10 for that one)! Anyway, I digress..... -

Tut Tut MK..... -1 This is why I generally stay away from controversial discussions and opinions. The fact I've just heard nothing else all weekend, and with absolutely no mention of his family was just too much for me. How about a tribute to his bereaved family? -

Which makes it all the more selfish a thing to do. I remember my mate at school found his dad swinging from the stairs one afternoon, he was never the same afterwards. Not something a kid should ever see. DT -

Without seeming harsh, all I've heard all weekend is RIP Gary Speed, tributes to Gary Speed. What about the wife and two kids he left? As good a guy as he was, he is also a selfish plick for doing that to his family. [/rant] Flame away...... DT -
I have a memory much like rain man (nickname from previous employment) which allows me to remember number strings, but is also very apt in remembering different usernames and passwords. hide your credit cards DT

Hi Guys, when I click the tabs to navigate between direct support/what's new - after I click the direct support tab, I get 404 page not found when then clicking any other tab. This is at the page where i'm given both direct support forum options. I have to scroll down the page click on a single link and navigate that way. OB1 has the same issue. DT

No need to google, I know these very well. Used them on the perimeter fence on the farm when having issues with vandals/thieves of the travelling variety. DT

There is a beautiful white one down the road from me. On the upside, I suspect my little red is bearing 'gifts'... Time to tie a knot in it for the little fella.... I'll let you know @aerospacemango here they are.... not brilliant pics, trying to get Alf to stand still is a nightmare....

Taken from the garden around 0700 this morning..... I'm thinking more of a hollowed out shotgun shell filled with dog muck, electrical contacts to the primer, and a makeshift pressure plate from two saw blades and a 9v battery Afghanistan taught me to play dirty

Just to let you know, the dogs were recovered this afternoon. Some kind soul had seen them left on the other side of town and taken them to a vets (Male is very very car sick ). Luckily the vet knows my cousin and she phoned me. SO relieved. cue large fence with extra locks and spikes/electricity...... DT

Nope, and neither had collars on either. Mainly due to the fact that they don't wear them around the house because of the issues with hair and matting. I'm already scouring the likes of loot and gumtree. Dog warden and dogs home is next...... words really cannot describe how much I'd hurt the person who took my dogs. I've learned to deal with loss, but the kids, how will they possibly understand? yep, full of scum bags as always. Taken from Harbour lane area in Milnrow!!

Hi all, I have been relieved of my two prized pomeranians this morning by some tool. I'm in the rochdale area, but if anyone north-west based comes across an older male and female (sable and ginger respectively) for sale please do let me know. Got to find a way to tell the kids yet.... DT
