I used to have some Twin X in an old system and it ran pretty well. But in recent years I've run OCZ religiously. Obviously, my options for running OCZ now are quite limited, so I think I'll be reverting to Corsair.... I'm told Patriot RAM is pretty hot stuff though.... I should probably stop getting over excited at the immense options and stick with what I've decided...

Have you tried the edimax printservers? I know it kinda defeats the object, what with the built in network point, but it may just bring them to a certain level of operability. DT

I'm going to be doing a certain amount of fiddling - and teaming whatever memory with the 1090T Black edition. The CPU will support 1600Mhz overclocked, so I expect to be doing a bit of buggery pokery with the northbridge settings to get the best out of the memory. I'm not really looking at squeezing a miserly 5% out of the cpu, just optimizing the memory usage. I'm still not decided on what RAM to go for though, JoeBloggs - do you stock this: eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace? Damn, if only there was less choice!!!! It Might not be so difficult! DT

Hell yeah, I remember speccing up a new system with an Athlon XP 1800 and DDR2 333 (pc2700) - and that was the dogs danglies at the time.... Hell I even remember getting an intel x286 with windows 3.11 for xmas...... then later upgrading to a x486 DX with win95!! Jeez, I'm really not as old as you would think.... DT

I'm trying to stick with whatever's on the M/B's Qualified Vendor List, as in the past it's been flaky when I've strayed away from this compatibility list... I need (or would like) this: F3-12800CL7D-4GBRH(XMP) (G.Skill) if you can get it.... I would like additional - but I have OCZ 3x16004gk - and it's like hens teeth. otherwise i'll be replacing it

Look under print driver isolation in your Print Management Console. This gives you the option to isolate the driver so should it fail, it doesn't take out the print spooler service. I've been looking for some OCZ RAM to upgrade my system from 4Gb to 8Gb. Problem is I can't find any of the stuff I need, so I kinda settled on putting 8Gb of new stuff in. Trouble is, what to buy? I've narrowed it down to either Corsair xms3 1600mhz, cas 9-9-9 or G.Skill Ripjaw 1333mhz, cas 8-8-8. Do any of you use either of these, and if so what do you think of them? I'm looking to chuck this in with a phenom 2 x6 1090T cpu. DT

Pc2 denotes ddr2. Strange that 3200 is ruining at 333mhz stock. DT

You can under clock it, so you can run ddr2 400 at 333mhz. not sure what the point of that is, but it works. DDR2 did indeed begin it's range @ 333Mhz DT

I'm using an m4a89gtd pro by asus, and i've found that anything outside the qualified vendors list is flaky... the only issue is - all the stuff on the qvl is a bit like hens teeth.... DT

I'd like pc12800 (1600mhz) if i can - was looking at g.skill - but don't know anyone that uses them. can anyone recommend some RAM? preferably 1600, with 7-7-7 or similar timing? DT

I found the RAM i wanted - but at £122 for 4gb... I already have 4gb of this particular stuff, and just wanted a bit more... Pc-titan.com - avoid. on looking into them they are a dud - based in malaysia, although whois info points to the middle of nowhere in US. Let me know if you find a decent alternative.. DT
