  1. We are setting up BYOD using Ruckus and trying to secure it using the ACLs on the Zone Director. We have added L3/L4 ACLs for DHCP, DNS, Gateway, VLE. When we try connect a device now it connects for a second gets an IP address and then disconnects and just keeps doing this. I saw we might need to set some L2 ACLs but i cannot see how you do this on the Zone Director. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. Cheers
  2. Sorry to review an old thread but i looked that the guide but when i search onenote class notebook in the store it doesn't show. I also found in the sharepoint settings to show onenote class notebook but still it doesn't appear for any on my users. Thanks
  3. Haha thought you might. Same here! Hence why not on here often at the mo! What you end up having? Congrats anyway, don't think I've spoke to you since.

  5. Thanks. What do you mean by this sorry? How do the rest of our wired computers know to ignore the .91 - .94 range? Thanks
  6. Hi Is it possible to set up our DHCP so it uses different IP ranges for different wireless SSID's? We are also probably going to VLAN them off as well. Basically Guest SSID - 10.24.91.0-255 BYOD - 10.24.92.0-10.24.94.255 Cheers
  7. Hi Right after speaking to schoolsbroadband they have advised me to use some of our current IP range. Anyone have any tips how i can exclude a part of our range from being distributed to our school devices but have it distribute to our BYOD devices? I can see how to add the exclusion in but how would i get it to allocate to our BYOD devices? Thanks
  8. Hi Trying to get a hyperlink from our intranet hosted in IIS to open a document on one of our shared drives. Used to work last year when we were on Server 2003 but now we are on server 2012 and IIS8 it doesn't want to work. This is the code we use: Intranet If you're not redirected within a couple of seconds: Click Here Anyone got this working where you could post your code so i can see if there are any differences? Doesn't work in IE or Chrome.
  9. Never mind found it. That's a sly move. Was really looking forward to stopping passcode changes. https://meraki.cisco.com/blog/2015/09/new-strategic-partnership-and-immediate-support-for-ios-9/ Anyone know any other free alternatives? Or know if you can make a profile in apple configurator that uses the new restrictions but just use meraki to deploy?
  10. Anyone have a link to the specifics of this as that will be a big let down.
  11. Thanks @SchoolsBroadband. Engineers managed to resolve it for us nice and quickly. It turned out to be a bug with the firmware our router was on. They remoted over, upgraded the firmware and restarted and all was good again. Have to say great speedy service! Much better than our previous supplier was.
  12. Cheers good to know. Used sp detest.net and it showed us ranging between 7mb and 0.5!! Normally 90mb odd.
  13. Is anyone else having internet issues this morning? Ours is running really slow. Awaiting a call back from an engineer. Cheers
  14. Did you just set up new ranges in your DHCP. Let SB know. How do you get a particular range to only be used on one vlan? Cheers
  15. What things do you need to block with ACL's? Can anyone give me some examples? Thanks
  16. Ok, as for ACL's what type of things do you need to add in there? IP's of servers etc? Thanks
  17. Did schools broadband help in the setup in any way? Thanks
  18. Hi Right i am setting up a BYOD network for us and now have it working (in a test environment) whereby users link to 'byod-provisioning' SSID they get redirected to our ruckus authentication page. They log in with their AD credentials and then get forwarded onto either 'BYOD-Staff' or 'BYOD-Student' depending on their AD role. (Staff or student). All works well. They are given an IP address in the same range as all our curriculum machines. We currently have no vlans. What i want to know is: Is it imperative to VLAN the BYOD traffic off to be secure? Is there a way using the Zone Director 3000 or our lightspeed filter to assign different IP addresses? Basically have all the BYOD traffic on a different range. We use HP switches if that makes any difference. Basically a complete novice when it comes to switch configuration so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  19. Just to add it goes to the new IP on my phone but on my wireless at home still goes to the old IP :s
  20. Hi when running an nslookup it has returned the server name and address for one of my dc's. Now I know where it is coming from how do I change it or refresh it? Thanks
  21. Just checked and there isn't. I have restarted the servers and client and still no luck.
