  3. To be honest shouldn't have any issue with wireless the most bandwidth intensive element we do is remote control and shouldn't have any major issue on the wireless networks. Russell
  4. Send me a pm with school details will check for you. Russell
  5. You can follow this KB article Impero - Network and Lab Management Software or turn off IE only filtering. Russell

  7. At that man says yes we go through same checks but experience has taught us well . Yes in 4.1 there is additional step has got to make sure enough disk space as we do DB convert as did lot of optimisation on the database in this version.
  8. Got a number of primary schools that use Impero however you are right in some ways hence why we are releasing Impero Learning Manager which aimed at primary market but also those who want classroom management and e-safety elements but not the other parts of education pro.
  9. Yes a dev roadmap I spent the last week doing QA timescales for it . As for price that one got to try and bribe one of sales staff they don't like QA as we hold up releases so if I asked probably add more money instead of a discount
  10. You can see websites visited even if computer is turned off with Impero goto admin tools and log viewer.. Russ
  11. Obviously vested interest etc but takling general here not just about one product or company... The thing about safe guarding is that not just about stopping young people looking at porn on the internet but about bigger issue of safe guarding so it includes things like helping students with eating disorders looking at pro-ana websites , abuse, self harm. Also again not about blocking (in survey 75.37% of students had accessed restricted sites even through school blocked it) but monitoring and education of students. The benefit of systems such as Impero (Other systems may be available) is that help pick up on non-website based activity such as bullying via writing things in powerpoint as well as online activity. Russ
  12. Hi You can also set via group settings to remove the Impero Shortcut icon as well.. Russ
  13. Have said this on Facebook but well done mate... So the London Mararthon next week then Russ
  14. If client trial ran out then won't block but doesn't look like our block screen and custom lock screens only been out in wild since jan time. If want to be sure disable Impero client service then will know for sure if Impero in anyway. Russ
  15. Hi As you may have read elsewhere we are releasing Impero Learning Manager while won't get all the logging it might be the way forward.. Russell
  16. As Matt pointed out expected behaviour is that swithced sessions (inactive sessions) will produce blank thumbnail but live session should produce a thumbnail image. Russ
  17. Just small point as title of thread could be misleading. Fast user switching means can have more than one session on PC (windows sees them as seprate sessions) like when RDP into server you get separate session. Problem is when you fast user switch the session is still active according to Windows. Impero handles these sessions like it handles RDP sessions similar to if you don't logout the rdp session and just close it. The best way to handle fast user switching sessions this is to set up group and put a logout the session is inactive for so many minutes policy against it. That way if they fast user switches and then leaves it then as session is not used for 30 minutes say the policy will log them out (but not the other sessions). PM if want details or want one of the support people to remote in and help you. Russ
  18. Thanks for the comments. Disagree with comments about Securus out the box (but I would say that ) certainly based on new version released at BETT.
  19. All depends on the school and is a mixture but we have seen increase in subscription certainly.. Russ

  21. Not seen anything like that before/ Shouldn't make any difference if on 8.1 and what you appear in. If let support know not down to AD groups I am sure they can help but give me a pm if need any help. Russ

  23. Hi guys I have quick question for Sims experts we need to do the following things on a sims report and wondering if it can be done. First is run report that exports students details as csv (the easy part) but against each of the student records it also has the schools dfes number. Then the second question want export student records to csv but column last column to be combination of other columns for example forename/surname. Does that make sense.. Any experts out there with ideas.. Russ
  24. Hope OP doesn't mind me posting. Wanted to clarify. We would love to give ESET a copy and tried but sadly they are only one (and I mean only one) AV provider who insists that we give them a un-themida version (lets be honest no company is going to give their source code away) all others we submit a Themida version and goes through and gets white listed. Obviously once added exceptions in ESET it all plays nice. Just to again clarify the server 2003 bug (if it what I think it is) has been fixed in a 4.1X release. Russ
  25. Will sort it now for you pm your school please. Russ
