Also should mention password reset integrates with v4 so can change password from login screen. You also can change password on youid and it changes password on your ad. -
Password Management for Pupils - Cloud Services
russdev replied to mullet_man's topic in Educational Software
YouID helps manage your cloud based apps in which they are provided with Webtop which is like a desktop in the cloud. The idea is providing simplified login process for cloud based apps which means you don't have to enter your username and password. This can be done one of several ways via login protocols such as Shibboleth or via what we call personal apps method in which you can add websites that don't support other login protocols. As for apps would need to check I know Show My Homework is OK. Will have to come back to you over others but think should be OK. We do have some USP such as our question based self service password. -

Hello First we have supported chrome via Impero proxy for many years but yes in certain configurations Impero proxy had issues interacting with some upstream proxies. As been said earlier yes we have done whole load of work with non ie browsers chrome included. It is due to go to closed beta soon got to finalise a few things this week . As soon as it is ready for full release it will go out don't worry Russell

Don't worry will not get anyone into 'trouble' as goes against impero culture to blame and tell people off as it doesn't do anyone any good. We just need to make sure sales staff have correct information as they may have honestly thought that. If this is case need to make sure training is correct etc. Russell

As previously commented we have done a lot of work to make sure our sales staff are re-educated on number of issues and also hiring new head of sales. Talking to people they have seen a big improvement. So last comment of "trying to scare me" concerns me So I have PM'd the user directly to get some details so we like to deal with anything like this straight away.

I had not yet just really started to research it more. That is really useful.. Thanks Russell

Hello Just doing bit of personnel research on subject. This question mainly aimed at data managers but open to anyone general. With the up and coming removal of levels. How are schools deciding to manager and record student achievement? Russell

What do you think of Impero? Using it in school very shortly?
russdev replied to connor_ict's topic in General Chat
Hi Sadly when you get something as large as Impero with lot of legacy code things creep through. Also the low level we operate means we are being very old school and doing things in operating systems that go against the manual . We are working on trying to make sure that less and less gets through and hopefully in last few releases you seen less bugs (sadly always going to get some). Anyway @Alkaline and @tronix_web can I get in touch direct as would like conversation about anything that has bugged (pun intended) you. Russell -
Hi Sorry missed this. The file format is own format and will not play in anything other than Impero. However if in support then we have internal tool that can use to convert to more open standard. Russell
-
If you have Impero then could use remote command prompt and delete the extension folder and run it on all your computers etc. You will need to find out the firefox guid to find the right folder but then can do it all in one go. If want could set an action policy to run it through out the day etc.. Russell
-
Hi It should go into open beta on Wednesday if want open beta version PM me and will make sure that someone contacts when upgrade is ready etc. Russell
-
Are you asking does device need to be in supervisor mode no it does not. Russell
-
Performance wise makes no difference really if off the network. Sits there to be honest as not connected to Impero Server (same as current version). Over people asking about webnairs look under events on the website. Russ

Hopefully it will go open beta on Wednesday and you all can get a look at it.. Russell
