There's a rule in the bypass bit to allow office365 access from what I have seen ( I didn't set ours up it was in place when I started here) On ours we also have the massive list of exclusions in place that ms provide

I agree wholeheartedly, its why I used to get frustrated with Android and the bloat, my sister had massive problems with her S2 and the S4 she upgraded too at the time because she used the Samsung Apps, for some reason I cannot fathom, despite me telling her not to, she used that junk for her business contacts and calendar and it just wouldnt copy from her old phone to new, even using the "inbuilt" transfer feature. I think she had to waste a weekend then manually copying everything to google.

I fixed this one with a little help from a Dell Guru on their forums, basically with sonicpoints, I needed to tag the VLAN100 and get the others on there untagged. removing the default vlan.

company I am with now, took us from October to Last week to get a fibre installed into a premise after much, much, much hassle with BT Openreach (if they have to dig up any roads add 30 days of time while they serve notice), They can be horrific and I feel your pain.

We opted for ICT direct pcs with serial ports and cut them out when I was still at a school, that was easier, I would recommend thought star tech ones, esp with 64bit support, they did the job and we had to change a few going to windows 7 and then going full 64 bit

On the hub is ms portal for home use, you need your reseller to set it up I believe and then people can buy stuff off there using their school email addresses, we had it when I worked in school, you could buy products cheap too

we use two uplinks per fibre here routinely, our fibres are run via separate paths internally and externally to prevent outages should a breakage occur, at the moment STP takes one link down, though I am toying with doing some port channel stuff. 1GB core here across the board as it stands at the moment, just renewed edge switching all to 1gb across the board (some old 10/100 linksys and early linksys/cisco switching just been replaced out).

Hello all, Does anyone here have experience of cisco sg500 / dell n2048P interconnections and how to get it working, I am basically trying to get some vlan ports up and running on this, whereas we were all cisco before, we now have a dell switch environment and they dont seem to be playing ball that well. I basically need to tag the 100,110 and 120 vlans I have created out over a port on the switch to get the sonicpoint APs that I have connected again and working but I seem to be having great difficulty. I don't know what to think of this yet to be honest, I think i'm happy to sit on the fence about the male/female thing because I don't really care either way there, from watching it there have been female time lords so its canon and not just for the "sake of it", though I see its been touted that way, the trouble with this series is that it ebbs and flows with the writing, some of it has been very decent, Day of the Doctor was probably the last enjoyable event for me, I like it more when they deal with the whole Mythos behind the character. I agree, I hope they do this character justice, because Capaldi started well, but drowned in Clara then I thought, same as Matt Smith with Amy Pond.

Stuff like that is why I dumped them when I was on adsl years ago, they were major into messing with traffic as well back then, I see things still haven't changed much.

Does anyone have a supplier thats able to turn around these length of Cat6 cables fast ? 15cm ones we are after, which are difficult to source, I have had a quote of a cable company but its high and the lead time is large.

I genuinely feel for the people involved in this tragedy its beyond awful. There is some serious questions need answering quickly on this because of the safety failures of the most basic things like the fire alarm, never mind that cladding which has been used extensively elsewhere (my local city has been doing all the blocks in that stuff to "tart up" the look of the 70s high rises). It was exceptionally distressing listening to it on the radio this morning on the way to work too, one of the most horrific things I have listened to the eyewitnesses who were lucky to get out.

I agree there, they certainly aren't the worst animal around, though having taken my kids to bristol zoo and walked through the enclosure, the fruit bats are a size which would make it a bit worse to deal with if they were in the wild in our country, they were massive by comparison to the native ones. I think its the leathery wings that frighten a lot of people.

Sorted this issue, basically Sonicwall despite saying it would autocreate the access rules, did not actually create anything, once I did it manually it fired into action.

Hello All, I have a bit of a weird one, I have two azure environments - 1 classic and 1 RM based one on the new portal which I am looking to use and retire the old portal. I have set them both up as site to site VPNs connecting in to our base site here, they both have identical connections to the azure environment which work the same, its the same firewall for them both, that bit appears to be working spot on, data is travelling both ways. When I create a server in the Azure RM portal, I can SMB browse servers across from Azure to the LAN site at our base fine which is what I want, but I cannot browse the server from the LAN at our office, it wont actually browse it, wheras our Azure classic portal environment, I can network browse the boxes as though they are on the LAN normally. I have followed a lot of guides about this and looked at the NSG settings trying things out, but still the classic portal based servers work fine and can be browsed and pinged internally fine, just not the RM based stuff, but I wanted to know if anyone else has had these issues so far and how they overcame them ? Or has a definitive document on how to achieve this ? I do not want to look at Azure File Storage as I don't want to over-complicate things for our users within the group I work for.

I know that Libreoffice can open publisher files at home if they are in a pinch, its free also. - Home | LibreOffice - Free Office Suite - Fun Project - Fantastic People - I told one of the staff at the school I worked in to use this as a means of opening publisher files on their mac as they were an avid mac user. You may see some slight formatting changes though. I don't think theres a direct conversion tool that I am aware of Also - if their office365 can't they just install the full suite at home from the tenancy ? Richard
