Hi, Have promethean or are promethean looking to provide Intune deployment instructions for ActivInspire and the accompanying software? Thanks

Hi, Our new promethean 300 boards keep loosing their usb audio connection each time the laptops they are connected to shutdown or restart. The only way to get the audio working again is to pull out the boards USB connection and plug it back in. I have update the promethean drivers( v 2.7.23.1)and active inspire software to the latest. I have checked the usb settings for the laptops in their BIOS and nothing seems out of order. The laptops are Dell latitude E5520 laptops with Windows 7 installed. I have even set the Promethean USB Audio as the defualt audio device on the laptops but each time a laptop shuts down or restarts you would need to re-plug the usb connection for the audio to work even though the boards reconnect after the shutdown or restart. Has any one encountered this problem and is there a work arround?

Hi all, We are attempting to log a warranty call for a Promethean panel that is less than a year old but they keep asking for an Activcare Plus number. Apparently giving the serial of the board isn't enough. Does anyone know where we would find that info? Thanks Matt

When the computer goes to sleep the board loses connection. When we wake the computer the connection is still lost and the PC needs a restart. This has become a site issue and have been looking for solutions. Please advise

Promethean Planet - a 450,000+ user online community for Promethean users that has free lesson plans, software ugrades and extensive forums. I am trying to solve a rather strange error on a newly built machine after getting a replacement hard drive. The ActivInspire v1 MSI, that I obtained after running the network install of the latest .exe downloaded directly from the Promethean website, fails to install with the following error: Error 1308: Source file not found "[insert filepath]\ActivInspire\1.8.64351\Windows\winsxs\ulCRTx86\86_Microsoft.VC90.CRT_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.030729.4148_x-ww_d495ac4e.manifest" Verify that the file exists and that you can access it. On close inspection, there is a .manifest file but the garbled rubbish in the filename is different. Currently, the software is deployed via Group Policy. All but the ActivInspire v1 MSI install perfectly fine. If I run the MSI manually it bombs out at that error. However, if I install the .exe it installs fine. However, when the machine is then restarted (when teacher goes home at night), it seems Group Policy removes the ActivInspire installation and then fails trying to install its own MSI again. This is the first time it has occurred in the school. They are Windows 7 x86 clients with a 6-month old Server 2012

Good Afternoon, We have purchased new teachers PCs without COM ports. We have 7 first Generation Promethean Boards which we are now having issues connecting to the Activ Driver. We have tried KEYSPAN USA-19QW, KEYSPAN USA-19HS and USB-Serial CH340 "Serial to USB" connectors, which all appear to work correctly and create COM Ports appearing in the device manager. But the ActivDriver software is failing to connect to the boards, and I am seeking any advice. See Attachments. Any suggestions? Also : we appear to have some first generation boards with board to USB cables already installed? and these available to purchase, or are theses an actually different board model?
