Always have them separate imho, Staff we have as initial surname (but any combo, first+last, intitial+last, last+initial etc etc at different schools in the past) Students again always a similar theme, yearofentry+surname+initital, or surname+initial+yearofentry etc etc depending on how the school was originally. The amount of times we find issues with schools that have students without things like years/numbers mixing up two students with same name, even them logging on wrong, or staff to student emails etc I honestly don't see why anyone has students without some indication of year etc on it For such a simple add it fixes a lot of issues overall Steve

You can as mentioned Just need to deploy the RDP path as the "program" As an old example, this was done for access to a specific server: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows-server-2012/175934-rdp-options-3.html#post1511844 Just using a simple "program" deploy that runs mstsc /v "myserver", when they click the program it should remote direct to the server internally, or in your case "pc" If you really don't want to use a shared session host (my preference), between the two options you mentioned: Assigned VMs - More resources needed + 2 places to update software/config - But always turned on Physical Machine - Less resources/updating - Likely to be turned off sometime and you'll get no end of complaints Steve

Pretty sure it had to be done each time, as same when you installed it in the first place, you had to manually install the cert for the WebClient even though it was already installed for the rest of it. If it was using the other ones surely it'd work without installing the cert during install? You don't need to open 3389 as it's the server that's 3389ing to the machine, it's then provided by 443 from server to client etc. (It's bad practice still, but it works ) I mean there's nothing that stops you using your VMWare as a shared host or personal, you'd just install windows server + RDP features onto a VM on it as normal and give that the resources it needs. So if you wanted to demo it, you could just make one massive/power VM with Server + shared host and install the apps on that. And use your current server to point to that one etc Steve

I mean you "can" do it to end machines, wouldn't advise it, just by deploying a RDP file that points to said machine. (Unless you really want to go adding in every single machine on load balancing) But is this for remote access or full thin client? Steve

Now this is assuming you mean send as in using email via the teamname/address, but I'm sure you can do that as we have it on some of ours I think you just had to disable the group being hidden, then you can open it within Outlook showing what emails have been sent "to the group" which is then in turn, those that are distributed Set-UnifiedGroup -Identity TeamName -HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled:$False Then just open it within Outlook and you should be able to see them, obviously this example only has the "original" teams email but the principle should show any others Like that? Really not too sure what you overall aim is here. If you're talking a 365 group you can enable it as mentioned above. If you're talking a teams group, then that setting you're trying to do won't actually do anything as the Team doesn't send any messages, it's just distributing it on a senders behalf. Unless I'm totally misunderstanding what you're trying to achieve Edit - Ah ninja'd! So you just want to be able to see who's sending what as an admin? Honestly, I'd suggest just getting the user to check how it was shared first, else could be hunting a long time for nothing that's wrong There's 3 images below, if like on the first one there's a little chain/lock it's using a link and is accessible from other people If they go manage access it should show it split down, into those with direct access (which is what you want), vs link and the third one (using the …) shows if it was a link who has accessed said link to view it Hope that helps Steve

I mean, yes to all your questions, but also "It depends" You can remove all the apps/add programs etc, but normally you'd use some software on top to do it, whether SCCM etc. You can do it all via GPO, just not as neat as it could be. But yes if you remove things like apps, from the default accounts, it'll remove them for all users as long as it's done before they log in Best thing to do is have a play, and see where you get stuck, most of the things for Win10 are in one of these threads explaining how to do it all Steve

It literally is that they are bodging figures "again" They didn't include all "pillars" in the figures showed by nations before, so for example only tests done by government facilities not private labs were shown: So if you look at the figures for the 1st (pre-change), you'll only get Pillar 1 cases (apart from Wales etc etc): Yet now today, if you look at the new data it'll include all Pillar 2s: And yet magically, only Englands version of the figures suddenly get massively affected Short version, bodged figures, not increase cases! It's still plugging in a cable that's touched by other people, so it's not like it's going to be "covid free" as such And if you're using laptops on wifi/without additional accessories like keyboard/mouse etc, then you're basically paying £100+ for a HDMI cable To rephrase, if your projectors/touch-screens support it, just give a HDMI cable to plug into faceplate and boom you have sound/audio etc without needing dock Steve

I wouldn't do any modification to the base image, it's only going to cause you more work in the future when you do upgrades etc. GPO it all, or at least do it as a step/script as part of your install depending if you're using SCCM/MDT etc etc Steve
