I have a Santander 123 account it costs me a few pounds a month to keep it going but it gives cashback on direct debits to certain types of company In my case this easily pays for the monthly fee They have just increased the cashback for energy company payments from 2% to 4% every little helps!

The Queue was an amazing thing in itself wish we could have gone down and at least been there on the route but it wasn't really practical due to illness and stuff but we did spend most of the week watching it all - and the whole day watching the funeral never see anything like that again

Seems like we need something - whether or not this is the right thing is a matter of opinion - probably What I am looking for is the long/medium term plan to build in more self generation so we can use far more UK generated power I presume it will come - I just hope it is not based on fracking - or if it needs to be then this is only a short term fix with a clear path to greener methods We shall see

Sensible advise!

First one was a basket type about 4-5 years ago- good make but started smelling (apparently) after a year or so - by year 2 I had to only use it outside on an extension lead (i.e. We can;t have chips because it is raining - became a thing) replaces it with a Tefal air fryer - with the siring paddle thing - on sister-in-law's recommendation it started smelling (again apparently) after a year or so - but then one of the fans broke and it didn;t seem worth trying to get a replacement fan when it might have to be chucked out soon anyway gone back to using the oven now it does seem to be the exhaust ducts for the air after it passes over the food I suspect that if I just used oven chips and the like then it would be OK it is probably cooking rare stuff witha drizzle or oil that does it - even though I was miserly with the oil as I could be

THE QUEUE is now itself a tourist attraction people are travelling to London just to see THE QUEUE as you say - it is a work of Art in itself

LAst I heard the queue was at 22 hours down from 24 hours Also the queue itself has become a tourist attraction - people are coming into London just to see and photograph the queue could anything be more British than queuing for a whole day to pay respect to Her Majesty I presume tea is available along the route

We had 2 air fryers Had to get rid of them after a while because Mrs mikeprice started to complain about a smell of rancid fat It did get properly cleaned after each use - but there were areas in the air stream that I couldn't get to and I presume some fat condensed in these bit and, over time, became rancid She is especially sensitive to that smell but it does mean we can;t use one unless it can ALL be cleaned - and I haven't found one like that yet and recommendations would be welcome!

My last job every half term and end of term was to go round all the rooms and turn off the projectors there was always one or two left on - and that was a small Primary!! I did notice a couple switched on over the weekend a few times as I passed - but as the school was locked there was nothing I could do Setting a time-out was apparently not acceptable

They are also asking people to remove the plastic wrapping which makes sense - both can then the recycled

I set up Veyon - which is free - at my last school Quite limited but works OK for what it does When I was at a Secondary school we used AB Tutor - which was wonderful - but I believe the prices have gone up a lot so it is no longer a cheap option and I am out of touch with its current situation I'm sure others will be along with experiences

Words may not be able to bring them down but a brick nearly did when one thieving gull knicked my pie on Llandudno sea front a few years ago didn't actually throw it as I was still a teacher at the time at a school just down the road and the beach was full of people - though the idea of a teacher lobbing a brick at a gull on a crowded beach might not be the ideal image of a UK teacher They really can be a total pest

Had the standard call from Virgin media just now - apparently they have had loads of warning on their system saying our broadband is having problems etc etc now been feeling too good for a while and I have no energy to get anything done so I had time to talk to them so I did - haven't done that for ages he wanted me to start Chrome - which I said I didn;t have so he resorted to the old windows R route to check WWW speed via a site I hadn;t heard of so I mis-spelt it - but he could figure out that I had misspelt it from the error message (honestly - he will get nowhere with me if he can;t spot mis spelling and grammar mistakes!!!!!) anyway - resorted to speedtest.net - which I know so that is OK got the upload and download speed - except that I multiplied them both by 5 and told him that instead which he claimed showed I was having major problems and my speed was VERY low (497 Mbps!!!!!) he seemed a bit confused at the download speed but still kept on with his claim that it was slow a little bit after that he sussed that I was not the confused old man that he thought and started swearing at me I told him he ring me and lied to me apparently it was all my fault because I answered the phone!!! got up to 30 minutes to be honest my tea was ready to drink by then anyway cheered me up no end

Interesting - I have never seen one with the timer built in At my last school we got a time for the 3 trolleys so that they were only charging at sensible times and not all night and all over the weekend. I did attach the laptop via a surge protected strip - don't know if that was necessary or not Anyone know whether or not this is a good idea/necessary - or just over kill? I'm sure I read somewhere a long time ago (i.e. old tech) that on dodgy circuits you are better with a laptop because the charger system is better at protecting the computery bits (techy term) than a desktop power supply can't remember the electrical reasons or am I talking rubbish (again!)

We used to shutdown everything at night using AB Tutor then start them in the morning using 'Wake on LAN" Worked well and did save on power when we monitored it mind you that was a long time ago when I worked in a Secondary school I was wondering whether it would be OK to switch of the power to the laptop chargers overnight and at weekend assuming they all had time to charge before they were needed updates and the like allowing? surely a decent charger will protect the laptop from any power spikes - which the cab should do as well - and the laptops should have been shutdown anyway?? or am I talking whatsits

Ah - now I can see where you got that wrong you are assuming that both tins re the same size but you are not looking properly THE ONE ON THE LEFT IS DENTED and therefore is smaller inside Hope this Helps!
