If only you had asked earlier I only threw my old scout shirt out at the beginning of the year!!! and, for some reason, I didn't make a note of the badges on it and my cub scout jumper/shirt (or whatever) wasn't even there! (and no - I didn't keep it myself - I found it with my old school cap and tie in a bag when I was clearing my parent's house out after they died - I was just amazed my first baby shoes were not there!)

The above advise is good - get new where you can and re-use the best you have if necessary I would just like to add that I would use this as an opportunity to build up a stack of stuff for testing and emergency purpose on the quiet maybe that mythical stack of old laptops that 'we' all keep in a cupboard might actually exist afterwards and I certainly would keep the best network stuff that is going "spare" so I can create a temporary network to test stuff if necessary not much stuff - but enough to be able to chuck together a test rig for those unexpected testing necessities that tend to crop up When I worked ina big business our departments whole Y2K testing systems were made up of stuff that everyone though had been thrown out Always pays to be prepared

I actually look quite like that picture although Mrs mikeprice totally disagrees and - as I never look in a mirror - my view of what I look like is not reliable

Tried that once turns out that my beard is rather curly and wirey so it just grows out in a bush originally it was a little bit ginger as well as the normal fair colour Kept it for a year or so - then a bit on my chin decided that grey was a better colour at which point it shaved it off for good!!!

Hello all I have a problem and I thought I would ask some sensible and helpful people but they were unavailable so I thought I'd ask you lot Anyway - I always have 2 razor for shaving - have had for many years because I used to live between 2 houses - for reasons anyway - I have carried this on because it is handy to have one in the shower in the en-suit and one in the bathroom BUT I use Gillette Fusion just because a free one landed on my doormat some years ago when I needed one but after a while the release mechanism for the blades gets jammed up and stops working - which has now happened to one on mine so - I need to get a full new razor and not just replace the blade every 6 months (for some reason I don;t wear them out very often) BUT - in TESCO (other supermarkets are available) they only seem to have Gillette - which makes me feel rather forced to go the way they want me to go so I started thinking WHY?? so what type should I go for maybe the old 'safety razor' than my Dad used to use - are they really inferior to the 5 million blade modern version? View from the assembled hordes would be welcome referral views from related males is also welcome view advising a cut-throat razor will be ignored as my hand sometime wobbles (always has - my soldering is rather variable!) so that's just out

They are great for some things - better than bin bags because they are stronger than the basic bin bags But the do have ventilation holes in them so they are no use as bin liners or anything else where leakage can be a problem been there - done that

Ah yes - AB logs I used to love them I could see a kid on games instead of working and go and challenge them - they would predictably deny they were on games ever ever ever - not me Sir no no no SO I would mention that everything is logged so we could go over to my computer and check and if he was telling the truth then CLEARLY I would have to apologise in front of the whole class but if it turns out that he was on games then he would get the next level of warning up the ladder Plus he would have deliberately lied - so he would get an extra trip up a rung on the ladder which would either include a free 10 minute detention or - potentially - a trip to the quiet room They normally admitted it all and that normally stopped the problem in the whole class for a week or so until the numpties forgot and we started it all again! Maybe the fact that I so clearly enjoyed the procedure helped???

My experience is that he main problem is the fragile and fiddly things that fix the keys onto the keyboard and how on Earth you get them to connect the 2 I have often replaced a whole keyboard when I had all the keys and sufficient connector (over several laptops) but just couldn;t get the bit into place properly

yes - we did get dumped onto EDF when our old (and greener) supplier luckily EDF put us on a fixed rate that was even cheaper than the previous supplier - but that stopped JUST before all the companies started going bust EDF offered me another fixed rate which seemed quite expensive at the time but I accepted it as I couldn't; find anything better at the time actually I accepted because I had 2 weeks to change my mind and wanted to look for a decent green tariff - but I couldn;t find one at the time I was dead lucky - our rate is fixed until Sept 2024 and is FAR lower than the normal at the moment Hence EDF should only be asking for more money if our usage goes up - which is unlikely with the new solar panels!

It was worth putting up with that one because one of the fish shaped biscuits was Brill (took me far too long to come up with that one)

I thought I had a SMETS1 smart meter as well I was rather surprised when EDF managed to get it to work properly and send them all the data SO I got the make and model and looked it up - mostly because I wanted to find out how to get an export reading turns out some of the SMETS1 meters are really SMETS1 OR 2 meters and just need to be told to change to SMETS2 why it took several suppliers and a lot of 'registering' and 'requesting' to get this done is a good point! so it might be worth having a look at the meter (the real one - not the in home display) and checking it out online

Microwave - which doesn't have a clock or anything - 0.5W so I thought I would try the wonderful energy saving device known as the Smart Meter In Home Display Unit - commonly referred to as 'the smart meter' 1W constant once connected so that is 24W per day 365 days per year (lets ignore leap years) = 8.760Kwh per year working on the current (sorry) price cap - and ignoring the standing charge - of 28.34 means the display unit costs 248p per year to run AKA £2.84 unless my maths is as bad as my grammar

I suppose I'll have to measure ours now - just out of curiosity!
