We've not even got all our site on 1903 Education yet many PC's still on 1607 LTSB - but we're getting there. What's the easiest way to get from 1903 Edu to 20H2? Run the Windows 10 Update Assistant during school downtime?

I think that's all OK as it works seamlessly when I logon with domain admin rights

We run a pretty tight locked down system for all users, be they staff, students or admin staff. We have regular issues with the Sage Payroll software when it requires an update and often the simplest fix is for one of the IT Support team to logon and apply the update. However recently SAGE gave us some advice to try and get the process to run when the standard user is logged on: Allow payroll.exe and sbddesktop.exe access to the internet. Allow full access for the following files to run unrestricted: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sage\Central\AutoUpdateClient\AutoUpdateClient.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sage SBD\SBDDesktop\v12\SBDDesktop.exe Allow access to the following URL: https://licensing.services.sage.com/lic/services/LicenceService I get the last item is related to our filtering, but unsure what they're on about with the first suggestions, we turn off Microsoft Firewall on the clients so the two exe's they reference should have access to the Internet. I'm sure what they mean by allowing full access for files to run "unrestricted" - do they mean it has to run with admin credentials? I wonder if anyone else has SAGE Payroll and how they have their system setup? Cheers

The test email still appeared in the content search! I'll try a brand new content search.

Ran the existing one / also tried a new one. I did n't enable a hold - what does this mean? I've just done a test. Sent an email to a test student account. Picked it up on a content search. Ran the purge. Verified both the sent and received emails were deleted. I'm now re-running the content search to see the results :/ Seems to be taking a while

I need to delete some emails - don't ask. I've logged in to the Compliance centre and run a search for the emails to be purged : https://compliance.microsoft.com/contentsearch I then run the following command on my PC : New-ComplianceSearchAction -SearchName "GHD3" -Purge -PurgeType HardDelete When it's finished I run the command : Get-ComplianceSearchAction -Identity "GHD3_Purge" | Format-List This looks like it's actioned the HardDelete command and deleted the emails. HOWEVER. When I go back to the Compliance Centre and search for the emails again - they still appear to be there. What am I doing wrong? Cheers

We just had 4 unsecured laptops delivered. My guess is we will give them to parents and never see them again. Ideal.

A member of staff is having difficulty showing particular slides in a MS Powerpoint. When I open the file I get the warning below: The staff member gets no such warning. I will be able to work out what option in my group policies is causing this, but my question is, do others allow teachers to make the "call" on whether the documents are safe? I don't want to stifle creative teaching but I also know if you allow users to click through warnings most will just do so without reading the message!

I create a new user, their Office 365 licences get applied automatically through group membership - tick I have setup Teams so that their Meeting Policy is set via "Group Policy Assignment". How long does it typically take to action? When I check the user's details they are all still saying : Global (Org-wide default)
