I'm just trying to set the default policy for “Who can present” in Teams meetings by using the Set-CsTeamsMeetingPolicy in powershell. I believe I've followed the logic and run the command: Set-CsTeamsMeetingPolicy -Identity School_staff_meeting -DesignatedPresenterRoleMode OrganizerOnlyUserOverride This returns nothing at the prompt. I thought I could then use: Get-CsTeamsMeetingPolicy -Identity School_staff_meeting -DesignatedPresenterRoleMode OrganizerOnlyUserOverride to check the value. Also, if they are not signing in - is there anyway to track the "guests" IP address ? Is it logged somewhere?

One of these options used to be "just people in my organisation" (Without the Guests bit) - Was n't it? We've had a few "Guests" pop up in some Teams today!

We've been managing in past lockdowns just using the web-client, but now I've been asked to install it for all teachers! From inspection on my PC it's installed to the location : C:\Users\XX\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Teams which is obviously no use to anyone! I've read you can just push out an MSI as I would usually do to install applications, just wondering if there are any gotchas with this method? Thanks all.

We have around 120 out of 1400. The students have come in and are following their normal timetable - they visit each teacher for their lessons and the teacher is teaching their normal lessons to them as well as to those watching via Teams. Staff are not mixing or socialising so we believe this is the best outcome for the students.

And if all the teachers stay at home who looks after the key worker students etc?

Staff are complaining about TEAMS performance - specifically sharing Powerpoints :/ Is it our broadband or a national issue today?

Full team in. NM, Senior IT Tech & Apprentice. Will probably be that way all through lockdown as I think the plan is for teachers to continue to work from school delivering the online learning from their rooms at the same time the key worker and vulnerable children will be in their lessons! Hybrid teaching! - Most staff had a flavour of that in LD2 and I believe it went well. We need to still be on hand to deal with any issues arising from that and also will allow us to get in to IT areas that are not being used to check and keep things updated. All good fun!

They are most likely only ever going to be used by students at home (and never used in school!) - could I just boot them up - install Office 365, create a new offline account (non admin) and then put them in my pile of laptops ready to be loaned out? Once returned, to clear them, just delete the offline account and create a new one...
