  1. Mrs KA got her Booster in Boots. The reception person was clarifying everyone's Name, email address, NI # and postal address by basically shouting them back to everyone as they booked in at the desk, so anyone waiting could have gleaned all that info. on many people! She did have a word with the team that gave her the jab, but who knows if anything would have changed!
  2. All our students logon / email address prefix is their four-digit admission number!
  3. I need without wheels and with a stabilisation and baying kit so they can be fixed together and secured from toppling over.
  4. In need of two 42U high ready made cabinets 800 wide and 1200 deep. Any good suppliers come recommended?
  5. If anyone has any experience of procuring broadband through the CC framework, I'm struggling with one of their forms. https://www.crowncommercial.gov.uk/agreements/RM6103 It's the "Framework Schedule 6 (Order Form Template and Call-Off Schedules) – Lots 1, 2 and 3" document. The sections I need to fill in are: CALL-OFF START DATE: 13th June 2022 CALL-OFF EXPIRY DATE: 12th June 2025 CALL-OFF INITIAL PERIOD: 3 years CALL-OFF DELIVERABLES An Ethernet fibre service and Gfast Backup 220/30 line to be live from 13th June 2022 I presume call-off start date refers simply to the start of the contract? So I've filled in assuming we procure a 3-year broadband service. Not sure why it's called Call-off and not just "Contract"!
  6. We don't have a HR department and I prefer coming in to school to work
  7. Our procedure for email when staff get married. In AD, click view > Advanced features Find the user manually (Attribute Editor tab won't appear if user located via search) Right click > Properties > "Attribute Editor" tab Edit proxyAddresses: SMTP to new email address (entry with uppercase SMTP, click remove and it will go into the "Value To Add" field) Add new proxy details : smtp old email address (will become an Alias) Connect to Office 365 via Powershell - link Set-MSOlUserPrincipalName -UserPrincipalName "[email protected]" -NewUserPrincipalName "[email protected]"
  8. Won't case numbers independent of number of tests carried be misleading?
  9. Don't forget you also need an Excel add-in that can only be installed by the user in order to pull off all items from the Single Central Record!
  10. So I've now created a new security group called "StudentsTeamsIPCameraON" I've added all year 13 students to this group. *they are still members of CAGPupils. Rank 1 group policy assignment has been added, the existing assignments dropping down to rank 2 and 3. Will the new assignments eventually get re-worked by Microsoft or is there a trick to forcing a refresh?
  11. For anyone else looking for a solution. Create a text file cagpupils with all the user email accounts who you want to change from Direct to Group Assignment. Then for each policy that needs amending, here are some examples. $user_ids = Get-Content .\cagpupils.txt New-CsBatchPolicyAssignmentOperation -PolicyType TeamsMeetingPolicy -PolicyName $null -Identity $user_ids -OperationName "Unassign meeting policy" $user_ids = Get-Content .\cag.txt New-CsBatchPolicyAssignmentOperation -PolicyType TeamsMessagingPolicy -PolicyName $null -Identity $user_ids -OperationName "Unassign meeting policy" $user_ids = Get-Content .\cag.txt New-CsBatchPolicyAssignmentOperation -PolicyType TeamsMeetingBroadcastPolicy -PolicyName $null -Identity $user_ids -OperationName "Unassign meeting policy" $user_ids = Get-Content .\cag.txt New-CsBatchPolicyAssignmentOperation -PolicyType TeamsAppSetupPolicy -PolicyName $null -Identity $user_ids -OperationName "Unassign meeting policy" $user_ids = Get-Content .\cag.txt New-CsBatchPolicyAssignmentOperation -PolicyType TeamsCallingPolicy -PolicyName $null -Identity $user_ids -OperationName "Unassign meeting policy" Track progress of each : Get-CsBatchPolicyAssignmentOperation -OperationId f7d63793-a2cd-4a3a-ae8a-19917c8ec8b5 | fl Where the string of letters/digits is returned after each command above.
  12. Well somehow using powershell I've managed to change all the students policies to Direct rather then inherited through the group membership! Anyone any ideas how to revert them all back?
  13. We have two main Teams Meeting Policies. One for students and one for staff. All pupils are in a group called CAGPupils which then assigns them to the "Education SecondaryStudent" Teams meeting policy which has IP camera disabled. I've been asked to look in to allowing IP camera for all year 13 students. Plan will be to create a copy of the "Education SecondaryStudent" Teams meeting policy which has IP camera ENABLED then use an existing security group which all year students are in and add this to the Group Policy Assignment page. Will this only take effect for new users? Will I need to run some powershell stuff to force the Year 13 students to pickup the new group policy assignment?
  14. Did mine through the paypal app on my phone.
  15. Bought myself £100 of Bitcoin and £100 of Ethereum a week ago. Available value is now £215.10. Just did it for fun really. Maybe in ten years when I come to retire it might be worth something worth smiling about - if not - was worth a punt!
  16. Hi Not personally checked myself but the data manager assures me the Bromcom report only allows you to pull SCR for one person at a time. We need to pull records from 327!
  17. I'll go back to Bromcom with that to see if the Single Central Record can be created that way. Thanks.
  18. microsoft ole db provider for sql server query timeout expired Is there somewhere where I can increase the timeout value as I know the report I wish to run may take a while :/
  19. Are you referring to the Bromcom people or the people in my school??
  20. Waiting to hear back. I'll update the thread in due course.
  21. From the deputy head to me It is important that we come up with a solution to this. The people responsible for the single central record have to demonstrate the ability to generate the single central record during an inspection. They need to be able to do this. I think it is a sensible idea for User X and User Y to be able to do this as well as a back up. Just so I understand the problem: The excel add in needs to be added to a user's account by the end user so I would have to do for my account for example. We don't have the permissions to do this. As the data manager has suggested could we be given the permission to do this for this one add in and then have this permission removed? Or is it a case that the add in will not run if we have this level of permission removed. This is the single most important aspect of an inspection and so we need to get it right. What a farce that something so important cannot be done in Bromcom and relies on an Add-in that can't be installed by standard users.
  22. When I install and check Excel I get the Add-in menu. When the end-user logs back on they see no Add-in menu Think the Bromcom supplied installer just installs per-user :/
  23. I've installed the Excel add-in on the Data Manager's PC using a domain admin account. When the data manager logs back in - no sign of the add-in Surely there is a way to install it for all users?
  24. Had this emailed to me: You are being contacted as your organisation uses a system that connects to the Learning Records Service (LRS). That connection will stop working unless you take action. Your system uses a web service certificate to connect to the LRS. The certificate will expire on 19 December 2021 and a replacement certificate is now available. To continue connecting to the service, this new certificate will need to be installed before 19 December. Have not got a clue what it's about - anyone else had this?
