One agent ended a call after I'd answered 'yeees' to the question 'are you an idiot?'. Took about 5 mins to get there though. Or - if you can't be bothered, say you need to turn a saucepan down and will be back in a moment. Put the phone on the side and see how long it takes for them to hang up.

I wouldn't mind people reusing code as long as they understood it. Ask them to change part of it, explain any algorithms used, explain what assumptions or dependencies it has etc etc.

We give embc around £12500 pa for 10mb over fibre. There's a briefing on the 19th to discuss our options beyond the end of the contract. Struggling to justify their cost atm - urban primary, 200 kids. We also have embc hosted mail. I suspect that moving email to another provider will be a royal PITA.

LBE privacy guard tells me when apps try to get location (amongst other things). Tick 'no' and 'always' and facebook will never know where you are. It's free but might need root access (mine has always has been rooted so don't know if it's req'd).

Probably because people keep getting killed on the cycle "super" "highways". Have a read of Cyclists in the City: National embarrassment: TfL builds cycle lane to Olympics. Two people killed already. Tells cyclists not to use it. for example. Back to the original subject - the olympics is just a massive corporate jolly, paid for by the people imho.

Next to none when compared to the cost of installing it I suspect. The website only seems to show lights being powered - probable very efficient ones too. The website is also a little light on actual figures. Might be useful where you need light but have no mains feed - but in a school (indoors)? Can't see it meself.

+1 for gallery ideas. I've played with gallery3 but it's a pita - no photos uploading, no errors either. Be much better if xibo had multi file uploading or could pull from a network share.

Whenever I see a story like that, I wonder about the potential future employer googling that persons name and discovering that they are a complete fork-wit.

I just play the previous version. MW2 was about £12 from my local CEX (webuy.co.uk) - finished the campaign in a week. I'd have been quite unimpressed if I'd paid £40 for it. Black ops now, similar money. GT5 lined up.

I'd like to share some bile over installing this utter POS as well. 2009 version. It's just a bunch of PDFs with some pupil tracking. Why on earth - a) isn't there a proper installer? *Having* to map a drive letter (to a specified letter!) and manually copy files across is a bit 1985! b) do you have to have the db location in the registry? Who on earth wants regular users writing to the reg? I hear the newer version is web based. The old version should have been too.

Set up a fog box - it'll be much better in the long run!
