I have to agree with previous comments, veeam is so easy to setup, the documentation and support so good that I wouldn't really pay anyone to do it.

The first thing I would do is backup, backup, backup. Then you could follow @3s-gtech plan or I would probably do this: Use Disk2Vhd to virtualise your current setup Wipe current servers and setup as Hyper-V hosts (I always make them non-domain machines but preference varies) Import current server images and spin them up - at least you now have your old network up and running, if you do no more than that (eg because you run out of time) you have still taken a step forward but not in a mess Create your new DCs and transfer over roles Demote old DCs and turn them off

Anything you want to distribute (drivers, images, applications etc) need to reside on a distribution point, in a deployment package. So, when you import the driver sccm 'knows' about the driver and the location of the driver files. Then you add it to a package and send it to a distribution point (ie it takes all the driver files, bundles them all up and puts them on a share). During the OSD tasks the device contacts the site server to see if it has the drivers it needs, once located it downloads the relevant packages and applies the drivers. Some people like to create a package per model of PC, some like to package up all similar drivers together.

Well I kinda think that is down to personal preference. One of the things about sccm is that there are usually multiple ways to skin a cat. Targeting your updates at one big collection won't cause any problems, however, when I had 3 OS's I had a collection for each version to make it neater. Now I have just Win 10 I do still have a separate collection just for targeting software updates. Hope that helps?

Whilst I have have the odd issue with drivers the problem usually lies with the driver rather that sccm. Other solutions I have used in the past have had the same issues with difficult drivers. For problematic machines you could capture a reference machine with the drivers installed?

SCCM, still love it and it's so much more simple than when I started with 2007. Never really had any issues with images, what are you having issues with?

Over the Xmas holidays the PO had to respond to a burglar alarm being triggered. He performed all the usual checks and everything seemed fine until he got to the office and saw all the box files had been thrown off the shelf and onto the floor... No sign of anyone being in the school and the distance they went was too far for them just falling off for some reason. Really spooky.
