There is an MDT step called "Install Roles and Features" where you can select to install .net 3.5 By default the step looks for the SXS installation folder in the deployment share where you are deploying the image from. If you are using SCCM you can add a "Set Task Sequence Variable" step and create a variable called "WindowsSource" and set the value to the path of the SXS folder. If you are using just MDT you can specify the "WindowsSource" variable in your Customsettings.ini Edit: actually I think you can just do the same in MDT - sorry I haven't used MDT on its own for a long time. https://blog.thomasmarcussen.com/installing-net-framework-3-5-with-mdt-2013-the-simple-way/

With respect to the original question, we install: En-gb language pack .net 3.5 Office Chrome PaperCut VLC Classic Shell Adobe Reader The software installed is what every machine needs. After imaging the machine picks up any extra software it needs based on its location. Oh and all metro apps are stripped out of the image beforehand.

@fiza thanks I'll look into that. Our Attendance Officer seems to think that Connect Ed does something with attendance that SC doesn't so I'll take another look.

We use Schoolcomms but are looking at Connect Ed at the moment. @micheal at risk of repeating myself, and what others have said, the actual machine times are correct and are all syncing from the same source. When logged in all the machines have the same time, it's the log in screens that are different. I agree that it shouldn't be an issue but clearly it is. Although as the actual machine times are correct and in sync it's not a problem.

Mmm yeah, our machines all have the same time (from the DCs which get time from NTP server) when logged in. But when sat at the login screen they vary by a couple of mins. Just as the OP said.

Been using the Ubiquiti here for a couple of years now. No issues as yet. We used to use all HP but when we saw the price of the Ubiquiti switches and the features you get we thought it worth a punt. You don't get the warranty of the majors but then at the price you can afford to replace if needs be.
