  1. Cross? They look very hoppy to me.
  2. Ok I've hit a snag with my method of using GPPs to add shortcuts to the pinned area. Once you pin enough apps to make the menu hit the top of the screen, the pins which should appear at the bottom of the screen do not appear. I kinda expected the menu to go to two columns or be scrollable. Can't see any way to alter this behaviour, anyone else know? :S
  3. Usually but not always. The (same as parent folder) relates to the domain name, DCs and Name Servers register that they are DCs and Name Servers for that domain (also stuff like SOA). However you can add other records if needed. For example we have a DNS zone for the hostname of our Sophos UTM with a record (same as parent folder) Host (A) so that the hostname resolves to the IP of the UTM.
  4. The avatar thing does seem to have improved. Now when I refresh the list of posts, for a split second the avatars are wrong but then update to be correct. I'll keep an eye on it.
  5. It's done "This JPEG image has the incorrect file extension."
  6. It does have permission I think the fix is to have everyone change their avatars to yours
  7. Same issue after clearing cache. here is screenshot of the message, followed by a screenshot of everyone having @ZeroHour avatar
  8. Not everyone, the previous tenants were not restored. Another great episode. Funny, just as Capaldi announces his departure I'm really liking him as The Doctor. I'm leaning toward The Master being in the vault (John Sim incarnation). No reasoning behind that though!
  9. Went to post a screen shot regarding an issue with avatars (still getting the issue where people have wrong avatar) but can't upload any photos, says "we have a problem"
  10. @ZeroHour I can't change theme at all now using the top right menu. Ignore, I am a dunce it seems.
  11. I had to reselect it from the theme menu
  12. Got ours from @Very_PC they were very helpful at working out exactly what we needed
  13. What do you mean? Because, well, it does.
  14. Ah yeah good tip. Another I recommend is to limit the size of the report DB log. Just had to deal with 60gb log eating up free space. I usually change the report db backup mode to simple as well.
  15. Yes the Windows Noob guides are invaluable. Personally I found the set up easy, its when things go wrong its a PITA.
  16. Are you asking about the Boot Volume?
  17. To get in you have to use a handle. To change gear you press Ctrl, Alt then Shift.
  18. I've heard it's a hard drive
  19. *You need to close all the windows before you turn it off. *Always make sure that you have enough space to back up.
  20. Where on Earth can I find a complete list of everything that is added/fixed in each Win 10 build. I always see incomplete lists for example: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4000825 https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/whats-new/whats-new-windows-10-version-1607 https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/windowsitpro/whats-new-in-the-windows-10-anniversary-update/ What I really want is a complete list with things like GPO settings added/deprecated in a release. Does this exist anywhere? :S
  21. Ok some info in case anyone else hits this. We are running v1511, I updated a machine to 1607 and the issue seems to be resolved. Apparently there is an issue with 1511 and WSUS since 1703 has been released. *sigh*
  22. @localzuk What did you decide in the end? To stick with or ditch SCCM? Contrary to my earlier post, I have been having a 'mare with sccm and am considering dropping it too. The last couple of updates have caused issues with OSD and Windows 10 updates are driving me up the wall (though this might not be entirely sccm's fault, not sure yet). It used to make my life easier, now its just giving me so many headaches.
  23. What do you do about restoring individual files? Eg for a file server.
  24. Our Win 10 clients have stopped updating with the following error in the update log OnSearchComplete - Failed to end search job. Error = 0x80240fff. WUAHandler 28/04/2017 02:53:22 12544 (0x3100) Scan failed with error = 0x80240fff. WUAHandler 28/04/2017 02:53:22 12544 (0x3100) I have found some info on this error regarding an issue with the release of the Creators update: We use SCCM but I believe that this applies to WSUS as well. The advice is to decline the 1703 update in WSUS, however, I am not sure if this is a good idea with WSUS being controlled by SCCM. Does anyone know if I can decline it in WSUS for now and reenable it later without causing any issues?
