  4. Hi. I had the same problem. Managed to resolve it by configuring the Office Software Protection Platform Service in group policy - I set it to automatic startup and gave everyone full permission. This seemed to have solved it for me.
  5. Thats just hideous, X-13 !!
  6. Hahaha. Just sent one of these things to my friend... it was a link to meat spin
  7. Its true that external connectors cost a fortune. Fortunately we didn't have to pay this fee per se, as we have our SIMS Learning Gateway hosted by the Local Council so we only have to pay £1500 per year for support and licencing. Might be worth checking if your local council does something similar...?
  8. Sometimes the best way to get a job is to ask a local school/company if you can work for free for a few months while you gain experience. This will look good for your CV and will also benefit your professional development. It will eventually hold you in good stead for a paid job.
  9. Is it just me that goes to BETT as an excuse to get drunk on company expenses?!
  10. Its not a waste of time if you manage to discover the nice pubs in Kensington
  11. Go to control panel - Add/Remove programs - Microsoft Office 2010 Professional - Change - Add/Remove features Then, next to Microsoft Outlook, select "Run all from My Computer" and then continue. Let it configure, restart the computer and try again. Hopefully this will work.
  12. Also, if you ctrl+A on the .png you get a message saying "The Challenge Continues". Hmmm...
  13. Thats what I was referring to. Does this need to be saved into C and compiled?
  14. Someone has put some extra information on pastebin, but even with that information I'm a long way from cracking it If anyone wants that info PM me and I'll send it across.
  15. My theory is that if you can somehow plot the Hex onto a graph on a scientific calculator, the hex might 'curve' to shape/draw letters on the graph. A bit like SIN/COS/TAN I'm probably thinking too hard about this now.

  17. How did you translate it into 'Infinity' ?
  18. Tried converting the hex to ascii and string and it proves futile (I think). Errrm... not sure what else to try now. Maybe if you stare hard enough the answer will appear, like a magic eye photo?
  19. I've been looking at it for about 45 minutes. Still no idea what I'm doing
  20. Woo hoo a free patch lead for Christmas!
  21. Someone told me that if you join a striking union i.e. UNISON tonight, you are protected straight away. Therefore, this would cover me for tomorrow's strike action, correct?
  22. Daft question this but... can you strike even if you aren't in one of the trade Unions that will be striking tomorrow? If there's a picket line at my school I won't be crossing it but I'm scared that this will get me into trouble.
  23. I blame it on Thatcher
  24. Cool. Sounds quite straightforward. I'll give it a bash. I was just a bit reluctant to start on my DC testing in case it opening a massive can of worms and a shedload of problems! Also can I ask - is it OK to use adprep when the DC is being used or is it best to wait until the half-term when its quiet?
